I mistakenly reported that this band used Nashville studio musicians to record their CDs. I am so happy to say I was wrong, & offer my apologies to y'all.

I saw them & Doyle Lawson in Darrington, Washington the other night, and they completely blew me away. Right down to the 14 year old fiddler. Their dad is an ex-Navy SEAL, and I'm sure I wouldn't want to tell him I didn't rehearse my parts. And when I met them, after the show they were just bubbling over with personality.

Go see them, you are in for a treat. I am a very hard guy to impress, and they completely won me over. I wish them the best in their ministry.

Oh yeah, Doyle Lawson was great, as well.

Well, Jimmy and I went this past Thursday night to see them (and Ricky Skaggs) at the Ryman. I will say that I was very impressed with their musical talents seeing as how they have only played for seven years. I was disgusted though by the drunks that we were surrounded by. I didn't even think about the Ryman selling alcohol. And to think that the Ryman was originally a church house. Very disappointing. Probably won't be going back to anymore Bluegrass shows there.
