    Chick gets pretty creative describing how the dinosaurs died.

    According to Chick, they were on the ark with the other animals. But when they got off the ark, the air had changed. Because there weren't enough plants, the dinosaurs were slower. That made them easier to hunt down, and they died.

    Well, you gotta give him points for creativity!

    He said that happened because the dinosaurs were so big and needed more oxygen than was available.

    Well, there are animals today that are larger than some dinosaurs and what about all of the small dinosaurs with a small lung capacity? Why did they die if his theory is correct?

    She had no sin nature until her heart desired to rebel. That didn't happen until after she was tempted. He says she was "wanting to try it" before the devil tempted her. The bible does not say that.

    I hate them . In my 20's I read a bunch of them . The most famous was "Holy Joe" . Here and there was a truth . But the package was badly tarnished by mistruths .

    There is one tract ( which I currently can't recall the name of ) which pictured demons in Hell gleefully torturing the residents . The demons were pictured as in charge and Satan was featured as the Head Honcho . All that is blatantly unscriptural .

    Why try to put Bible teachings in comic book form ? The Word of God -- the Bible is sufficient for that . I find it amazing that some KJVO-types love these tracts . They foam at the mouth against MV's yet Chick Tracts are perfectly acceptable ?! What about the pictures of Jesus and the Father interspersed throughout this "literature" . Doesn't that bother anyone ?

    In fairness to Chick, I think he is referencing 2 Timoth 2:13-14...
    For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

    That would seem to indicate an inherited weakness (being formed second)

    OK, I just found what I was looking for.

    In the discontinued chick tract "Holocaust," Chick claims that the Jewish Holocaust was actually masterminded by the Catholic Church!!!!

    I am damned by that Chick Tract.
    It condemns Billy Graham for talking to the Vatican.
    (I've also seen him condemned for talking behind
    the Iron Curtain -- one of the few that was
    allowed to preach behind the Iron Curtain -- he
    didn't give an invitation is why he was condemned.)

    I worked for the Billy Graham Associate (unpaid).
    They were showing a movie & giving an invitation,
    in movie theatres.

    There are many that also make that exact claim. The cult labeling is old and overused, but it sure managed to put quite a bit of hair on the ol' chest in the old days.

    There are quite a few who believe in the Catholic connection of the holocaust, maybe not the masterminding, but definately some cooperation.

    You can also read more about this from Chick himself in his "Smokescreens" book.

    Specifically?

    I understand Romans 3:4, and that we are guilty. I know not if he has intentionally, blatantly lied or not.

    Furthermore, I don't support every Chick Tract, you can even hear our churches very stance on that specific subject in one of the sermons on our website, "DisTRACTed from the Simplicity of Salvation".

    In fact, there are only 2 tracts we currently use from him, but they are nice tracts.

    I believe the spirit behind the holocaust is also behind the catholic church. To that extent I believe them to be connected.

    I agree with the spirit issue, but I also beleive there is evidence that the Catholic church supported the holocaust.

    If I had time to dig up those old facts... it might make for an interesting thread.
