No change there - Bush (not sure which one), Clinton, and Ford were lefties as well :).

Somehow I expect Obama is busy enough that he does not monitor every phone call and every conversation his aides have. Did he know his chief of staff had talked to the governor. We dont know. I can speculate he did. Now if I had a chief of staff and knew he had talked to the governor I could still say, "I have not talked with him," and it would be true, but obviously to those who do not like me it would not be enough.

On change ... I take any promise by any politician on the campaign trail with a huge grain of salt. When a person gets to the level of president they really cannot make too drastic a change in any direction, just cannot be done. There were rash promises by both candidates and I would say to myself, "Not in your or my lifetime."

I think it obvious that I for one for one do not 'dislike' the president elect. He is at the point where he needs to be clear and transparent in his communication. Perhaps this will be a chance for him to learn this lesson.

So you are ok with the Clinton-speak. Make the statement in a way that is "technically correct" and "deliberately misleading".

Are you this way in your personal dealings with people or do you accept this only in politics?

Were you ok with this method when it was the Bush administration doing it?

So keeping his promise of transparency would be "too drastic a change"?

And when Obama promised to be transparent you thought "not in your or my lifetime"?

But just like the abortion thing - you voted for him anyway.

    Too bad - so sad.

The change in who is president and who is vice president will be sufficient change for me.

No way to really answer the question. I and you do not know how much Obama knew of telephone calls. If I were president I would give someone a task and expect them to do it! They would not have to keep me informed on a minute by minute basis. Just do your job and let me know when it is finished. If you have questions come and ask, otherwise don't bother me. I am from the old school, hire good people and stand out of the way, let them do their job. I am not, nor do I like micromanagers.

What is it you want, a daily briefing on everything the president and his staff do?

Like I said, I take all candidate promises with a large grain of salt.

Because any president can not really do anything about abortion it is a non issue regardless that I am against abortion. It should be obvious that this is not an issue that politicians are going to seriously tackle.

if names and faces are all thst required it doesn't matter who you ever vote for who is ever president, or what they stand for or their plans for this country. as long as the names and faces are different.
I see, thats how people chose to vote for obama.
In that case it doesn't matter who runs for president, as long as they aren't a twin to the last presidnt.

Not really, has a president promised more abortions, without restrictions, tax payer paid abortions, partial birth abortion, thats a big difference, but change is what you wanted, and change is what your going to get.
