    Do you know of an actor or actress who is a Christian, but whose Christianity the average person may not kave known? I don't wish to debate a person's fruits, just list those whom you know to be Christians.

    For example, most people know Kirk Cameron is a Christian, as he's been very vocal about his faith.

    Did you know that Jimmy Stewart was a Christian?
    Judge Reinhold is a Christian.
    How many of you know that Denzel Washington is a Christian?

    Okay, now your turn. Do you know of any? List 'em here. Again, no debate on the person, just those you knwo of who are Christians.

    I have a question I've been thinking about for a while. Since you brought up Christian actor and actresses I'll go ahead and ask.
    A Christian appears in a movie and their character has to deny God/Jesus existence. What does that mean to their identity as a Christan. Is it OK for them to do this? This wouldn't be in a Christian/bible based/something like the bible type of movie, such as playing Peter denying Jesus.

    I never would have figured that one out based on the show she appears in. I didn't think that show had any Christians in it.

    First of all, it's fiction. They aren't really denying Christ but telling a story about a person who denies Christ.

    Second, what is the context in which the character denies Christ?

    Patricia Heaton.

    She's been very outspoken about her faith and has also been a very strong pro-life voice in Hollywood.

    Stephen Baldwin has been saved fairly recently (within the past year.)

    Someone told me that and I didn't believe it based on the films that he makes and his brother's (Alec's) ugly attitude towards Christians.

    But, I was watching a program one night about a "Spring Break" for Christians and their whole families (from grandmas to babies) at a particular resort area.

    They were interviewing various Christians and all of a sudden there was Stephen Baldwin!!!

    The interviewer said, "What are YOU doing here???"

    Stephen said, "I'm here praising Jesus along with everyone else."

    He said that he would not be making any sequels to the inappropriate films that he had made. In fact he is working (producing, I think) on making some Christian entertainment for young people.

    His attitude and stance for Jesus seemed awfully sincere to me.

    I pray that it is real and that Stephen is able to bring his entire family to know Christ.

    We all hear alot about Kirk Cameron, but does anyone know if his sister Candace (from Full House) or the rest of his family are Christians?

    </font>[/QUOTE]I am surprised to hear about her, but I did know of a Christian on the show. The large young black fellow who plays Malik, the orderly/nurse's assistant/whatever goes by the name of Deezer D, and is a rap artist that has also appeared in a Carman video.

    We're often guilty of confusing a character with the person who plays that character. Let me expound a bit: Every movie has a bad guy in it. It's not wrong for a Christian to play a bad guy. That doesn't mean that the actor in real life is a bad guy.

    While we're at it, Jim Caviezel is a Christian.
    Martin Sheen is a Christian (yes, I know, he's also quite the liberal, but that forum ain't about that). Sheen has often been quoted as saying "What I do, I do for my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ").

    Richard Thomas (John Boy Walton) is a Christian.

    Roma Downey is a Christian, and an angel too [​IMG] .

    I dunno, but David Gallagher (Simon Camden from 7th Heaven) is a Christian.

    So are Tia and Tamara Mowry (Sister/Sister).

    Also, Lisa Welchel (Blair from "Facts of Life") is a Christian. She has retired to raise her family and do charitable work.

    Speaking of playing bad guys: Thomas F. Wilson. To quote IMDB "probably best known for playing the bully Biff Tannen in the Back to the Future trilogy."

    I like playing the bad guy. I played Goliath in a play I wrote for Sunday school kids at one of old Churches a few years back. I didn't want any of them coming out with those lines, and at 6ft and 300+lb I suited the role better than any of the kids [​IMG]

    One day recently at Church Pastor's wife was making a point and I got to play the devil. I was just supposed to stand there with the sign around me, but couldn't resist hamming it up a bit [​IMG]

    Where's my Oscar? :D

    BTW, Tony Orlando, the Oak Ridge Boys, John Tesh, Barbara Mandrell, the late Steve Allen, pianist Roger Williams, Loretta Lynn, Ben Vereen, and current pop star Jessica Simpson are all Christians.
