Christian broadcasters see threat of censorship

    But Dr. Wright said the NRB board has issued a declaration pledging to "obey the command of Christ to preach the gospel, even if human governments and institutions attempt to oppose, constrain, or prohibit it."


    Christian broadcasters have expressed concern that a revived "Fairness Doctrine" might force them to air anti-Christian responses to their programs. They also worry that proposed hate crimes laws -- such as the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) -- could be used against stations whose broadcasts say Jesus is the only way to God or that homosexuality is sinful.
