I'm surprised that Huffington Post was courageous enough to put that fact right out there in the open. :laugh:
It is wrong for the GOP to slash these tax credits for the poor. Hopefully it is only a negotiating tactic. If it is, it is quite cynical.
The EITC is simply welfare.
Eliminate it and make the payments need based - not just a blanket distribution of taxpayer money.
Isn't the tax break based on income, number of children, etc? Therefore, isn't the needs testing built-in?
Not really because there is no asset disclosure.
Uh...so what? And I will add who cares?
