One of Canada’s largest Christian ministries dedicated to caring for the disabled was fined $23,000 recently by the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario for allegedly discriminating against a former homosexual employee.

    from the article:
“Connie Heintz wasn't even fired. She resigned. And, what is more, Heintz herself testified that her former boss at CH actually tried to help her find another job by providing her with listings of vacancies with other charities – hardly the actions of someone who is ‘homophobic,’” he wrote.

The slippery slope gets another coat of grease.

That is not the full story. According to THIS STORY by the Canadian Press, Christian Horizons is almost entirely funded by the Province of Ontario.
It gets down to the fact that if you take funding from the government, the government gets to set the rules. Better to be privately funded and keep your freedom. Separation of government and religion keeps this kind of thing from happening. The founding fathers of the USA were wise, indeed. This is why Bush's "Office of Faith-Based Initiatives" is such a bad idea.

    The CP article also says:

The founding Fathers of the US never espoused such a notion.

Goverment money means goverment rules, any christian ministry should not take goverment money. God will provide for those ministries that were His plan. (meaning not every ministry is God's plan, some are men's plans)
