Christian Zionism

    What are your thoughts and definition of Christian Zionism, biblically or politically.

    It is on the surface an oxymoron IMO.
    Christian= preaching the Gospel.
    Zionism= bigotry in the name of God.

    IMO, it depends upon the motivation for supporting Israel.

    I hear and read some people proclaim to be Zionists, yet the rationale for being a Zionist is either unclear or is a result of that person's desire to usher in the end times. The latter is rather chilling. I have a great many friends/colleagues that are Jewish, and a few of them are apprehensive about this kind of support.

    Personally, I am staunchly pro-Israel, and I am Zionist to the extent that I believe that the Holy Land is theirs by birthright. I support a couple different charities that work with the immigrants who are making the aliyah to their homeland.
