I love Tim Burton's movies, but I've got a weird movie streak in me ;)

I always watch A Christmas Story during the season. It was on the other night. AND each year when I put the tree up (yes I do it by myself generally), I watch White Christmas and dance with Danny Kaye in my head. I :D

I like the Home Alone movies but nothing can top Charlie's Brown's Christmas. Who can resist that pitiful little tree?

I second your list completely... These are the traditional must see Christmas movies in our household.

It aint' Christmas until I see Charlie Brown. I could probably recite all the lines by heart...

It came on Tues. night and I spent the time before "singing" the theme--you know...

"do, do , do, do, do, do, do.....

    Drove my dh crazy...lol

At least the true meaning of Christmas is told....

I know I could get it on DVD and watch it at my leisure, but somehow I just "have" to watch it on TV.

    Merry Christmas, Y'all!

How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Live version with Jim Carey.

Yea I know, but it does teach that Christmas is not about material things.

The movie review link for Christmas Vacation wasn't very thorough. The depth of the nudity and potty humor was not revealed.

There is no listing for this movie at plugged in online (Dr. Dobson's Christian movie reviews)

For those who are considering watching it, here is a portion of the movie on youtube.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9t_AIygiG8&feature=related

I couldn't include the stripper scene because it showed more than a generous side of her bare breast. I guess that is why it is PG-13 instead of PG.

You guys actually watch this stuff? Lord help us!!

I associate old movies with Christmas. I love:

    Miracle on 34th Street
    Holiday Inn
    Bells of St. Mary's
White Christmas (I guess my mom loved Bing Crosby)
    It's a Wonderful LIfe

    Kid's shows:

    A Charlie Brown Christmas
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the old cartoon)
    Rudolph
    Frosty

So am I saying that adualtry is okay because I watch movies where people are kissing other people than their wives or husbands?
I wonder if my kids notice that I am inconsistant?
    Sorry - I don't see the connection between "Christian/Christlike and today's movies?
