Today we were given our parts and rehearsal times for our church's Christmas play. I was just wondering...do any of you have plays at Christmas? What is the theme this year? Do you have one for just youth/kids, or adults or both? What part will you play this year. What parts have you played before?
Ours this year is for everybody. It is centered around 9-11, and of course is for the purpose of wittnessing. This year I will be playing a woman named Jenny. She is the wife of one of a Christian man who died in 9-11. Last year our play was a Christmas play in a Christian school, and {LOL} I was the teacher, Miss Holiday!
    What about ya'll?

I am still in the process of looking for a good play to do this year. Most of the time we use the youth to put on a play for the adults. We have a bithday cake for Jesus and other refreshments for everyone after the program each year.

It sounds like you are going to have a great play this year. We are always trying something new too. Do you know how I can get a copy of the play you are in? ~Sheila~

Our children and teenagers are doing a musical for Christmas complete with costumes, drama, and all the other stuff!! There is even a part for the babies - there are 3 toddlers and 2 little babies that will be angels. Each will be assigned to a teenage girl (angel) and they will be doing their "thang" from the baptistry. I think it will be cool - IF it works!!

Sam, I'm afraid it's not possible to get a copy of our play because a woman in our church wrote it. HOwever, we did a pretty good one last year called "What Is Christmas For." It was about a class of kids, their teacher, and two janitors. One of the boys is a little troubled, and the teacher takes pains to share the gospel with him. It has some great songs that go with it, and is pretty cute and funny, but definatly based on the gospel.
    I enjoyed reading these posts.
