    Alcoholism does effect children, families, jobs, and screws up more than just the alcoholics life.

    An alcoholic doesn't have any more business being a pastor than a pedophile.

    Oh so an alcoholic cant gain control of his life according to you! There are a few pastors on this board who would disagree....but I will not name them.

    What exactly do you call a man who has gained control of alcoholism? An alcoholic?

    Silly, if they're free of the control of alcohol, and have gained control of their life, I don't call them an alcoholic.

    Of course AA has probably driven that idea into a lot of peoples heads.

    Oh so your saying its all mental.....there is no physical effects (propensities) causing alcoholism? So do manic depressives just develop this via sinning & if thats removed that they wont be bi polar?
