Church filing for Bankruptcy?

    Does anyone have any resources on this topic, either in support of such a decision or opposed? I'd really appreciate it.

    A church is considering bankruptcy to stay open.

    Kathy,

    A church that I attended for 14 years did file a Chapter 11 back in the late 70's early 80's in order to stay open. They had to trim things. They sold bonds to help out and the best thing was that they paid everyone that they owed plus the bondholders got their interest. I was there when they made the last payment in November 1988. God has since blessed that ministry with beautiful new facilities in the same location and the ministry is in better shape than it has ever been in. They have built several buildings and made improvements all debt-free.
