    Saggy has finally lost it!

I knew the pressure of developing polls would get to her eventually....

I voted for it before I voted against it.

We only let our pets go to church when the people aint there. The blue hairs might get mad lol.

Actually, one of our dogs, Pepper, (a miniature dachsund) sneaks inside over there every chance he gets. (we live across from the church)

When we had a bird (previous church in New Orleans) we would take him with us in his travel cage and he loved to fly around the sanctuary lol. His name was Thibodaux and he was my baby. (Man, I miss that bird. He had an unfortunate mishap with the ceiling fan when we moved into this house.) :(

And then there was the first Sunday dh preached at this church...a sparrow had gotten in the sanctuary, and he flew around during the whole service, lol. And squawked. We opened the doors but he couldnt find his way out. Finally, a deacon and a broom helped him find his way out after church.

Now that there's a pet peeve.

So is there a poll or not? Mine would be the pianist's limited capacity...it's the same three/four hymns (excluding doxology) every week! I wish I had a piano and/or more time to practise....

Saggy, if there really was a poll here, were you going to have this choice?

When the preacher constantly says "Turn to your neighbor and tell 'em....", or "Touch your neighbor and tell em....", or "High-Five your neighbor and tell 'em..."

I've visited a few churches where the preacher is saying something like this every couple of minutes. Really gets on my nerves after a while.

I can relate! Only it's "Can I get a witness?" or "Who has ever ... (such n such)?" or "Amen?" every 2-3 minutes. We were in retreat this past weekend, stayed up too late and everyone was too tired to raise their hands more than a dozen times. Pastor told us if we didn't 'get with the program' he was going to preach longer. Wow, everyone came alive quick!

Pastor means well, he just doesn't realize he's doing it so often! ;)

This is very common in some of the black churches I have attended. I havent been in a white church that it happens in for such a long time--(I usually won't go back to that church.)
