Former French President Jacques Chirac was rushed to a hospital after being mauled by his pet dog who is being treated for depression, in a dramatic incident that rattled his wife Bernadette.

Fox, you beat me to the punch. Instead of K9 prozac I'd prescribe 9 mills of lead to the head. Why do people want to keep dogs that want pose a threat to themselves and to others? I visited a lady whose dog loved visitors until they left. As I got up I was attacked. Oh, how I wanted to stomp down on a little dog. The lady did nothing to restrain the dog stating that it did that to everyone when they got up to leave. I wanted to take my shoe, with dog bite holes in it, and knock her upside the head too.

Some of us are more civilized and respect all of God's creation, including the animals He gave us responsibility over.

To see the words "Poodle" and "maul" in the same sentence is just to funny. And if any dog, poodle or otherwise, ever attempts to "maul" me a bullet would be being kind to what I would like to do.

Abortion Numbers in England and Wales Break Records Again

    By Hilary White

LONDON, June 19, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Abortions are at record numbers again in Britain, with a 4 percent rise and ever younger girls having "terminations" instead of giving birth. Statistics released today show that 205,598 British children were killed before birth in 2007, up from 201,173 in England and Wales during 2006.

The number of abortions among young girls also jumped significantly, with 13-to-15 year olds aborting at 4.4 per thousand, and under-18s aborting at a rate of 19.8 per thousand.

These statistics mean that nearly one-quarter of pregnancies in England and Wales end in abortion.

Meanwhile, pro-abortion MPs are pushing for still greater relaxation of the rules, to allow midwives and nurses to abort children and to abolish the requirement for two doctors to sign for permission. Changes to the Abortion Act 1967 could be pushed through as amendments to the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill. A few weeks ago, MPs voted down efforts to reduce the legal gestational age limit for abortion from its current 24 weeks to 20 or less.

The Telegraph quoted Ian Lucas, co-ordinator of the Passion 4 Life campaign, a project of the All-Party Parliamentary Pro-life Group, saying, "If there is any more liberalisation of the law it is likely the numbers will go up again, which would be a complete tragedy."

John Smeaton, the national director of the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children said, "The figures reflect the Department of Health's policy of performing an abortion as quickly as possible on any woman enquiring."

It is funny when one thinks of the 'toy' poodle breeds 'mauling' someone. But the original full-sized poodle was actually used for war.

    Exodus 21
28"If an ox gores a man or a woman to death, the ox shall surely be stoned and its flesh shall not be eaten; but the owner of the ox shall go unpunished.
29"If, however, an ox was previously in the habit of goring and its owner has been warned, yet he does not confine it and it kills a man or a woman, the ox shall be stoned and its owner also shall be put to death.

Dog, cat, ox, whatever. If an animal bites, mauls, or kills me or mine, I'll be using my God given responsibility over the animals to make sure it never does it to another person again.

I like the idea of killing the owner. Afterall, it was his responsibilty to properly train the dog....and a dog is not an oxen.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Wot is that verse, "Thou shalt carry a loaded 22 rifle at all times just in case you have to murder someone or something." Great verse!

In a related story, the dog got loose and is on the run.

France has surrendered to the dog.

Yes, but once the dog is chomping people's faces off, it's time to take care of them. I would think people come first.

The Standard Poodle can be a handful. They are big, and not exactly even tempered.

My dear friend, I would say that if it was anyone's dog. I love dogs, all dogs, but I have never loved a gun nor an animal abuser. I don't mind saying.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Sometimes, you have to do things to save face...instead of turning the other cheek.
