Screening Tactics at Bush Events Questioned

    Friday, April 22, 2005
    By Kelley Beaucar Vlahos

The unceremonious ouster of three people from a recent White House Social Security event in Colorado has critics wondering how far President Bush will go to ensure friendly, sympathetic audiences at his town hall-style forums and rallies.

“He is the president, and regardless of affiliation, everybody should have the opportunity to go and see the president,” said Aaron Johnson, spokesman for Rep. Marilyn Musgrave, R-Colo. “It shouldn’t be the job of anybody to make sure the crowd is 100 percent sympathetic.”

Even without a guaranteed audience of backers, the administration does have the right to try and prevent threats and disruptions from protesters, which is why people are often barred from Bush events, according to White House officials. The removal of individuals can occur before and after a disruption.

    Story Link

As we can see, in politics everyone probably does it. Some kind of crowd control, some plants to ask 'the right' questions... The only thing different is that the group of people complaining about Clinton NEVER complained about Bush or any other poltician that did this.

If you're going to stand against the "outrage" then at least be fair about it.. I know that's asking for too much from some or you.

Carpro are you actually "reading" my posts? I did NOT bring it up. Someone else did. I had never heard the story before and so I researched the matter out. I posted the information because I thought someone else might not have heard about it, but go back through the thread and you will see that it was not myself that introduce this topic to this thread.

I can tell by your "second" comments that you didn't read the link, because again the link said that it was virtually "IMPOSSIBLE" for her to have "intentionally" wrecked that night.

Not sure, I just did a quick Google search to find out that others do similar pratices..

Has Clinton admitted she directly knew about the planted question?

    I apologize again.

It was baptist believer who said:

"Let's talk about Laura Bush's murder in an automobile "accident."

    Typical of him.

I did read your post. It's his I had forgotten about. We both ended up feeding the trolls.

No, she said the opposite, and also said she would not put up with it. I'll find a link, if you ask.

I believe the truth concerning this statement is obscured. Rush says global warming is not man caused, to any significant degree. When you effect these little twists, you undermine truth.

You are wholly and completely wrong - he has indeed called it a myth.
Remember: I readily admit to listening to Rush.

That is correct, Bro. Curtis: I am a "Rush-non-hater."
I don't care what anyone else says, Rush said it and I believe it.

As a regular listener to Rush (when I can) I know for a fact that Rush is speaking to the junk science that makes unknowable estimates of climate change in the future, that places blame on man, and pushes for severe environmental laws. To simply say he says global warming is a myth is ignorance at best but more like dishonesty coming form an admitted rush listener.

Well you must listen to Rush more than I, but many do, and I believe that global warming has far to large a pool of evidence yet unknown, to conclusively declare it's existence. We are not anywhere outside normal deviancies in the last hundred years or so. When we consider mans attempts to declare climate trends, we always, so far, end up with egg in the scientists faces.

OK, BiR, prove Rush said, contextually what you claim!!!

The utter foolishness of man, on display, in this sordid grasp for funding.

If you are going to continue discussing me, you should at least answer the question I posed to you.....

Are you sure you listen to him?
That was a quote from about a month ago.
As for the dishonesty, I simply reiterate what he says. The dishonesty is claiming that I did otherwise....

I tell you what, just for you, I will keep a note pad handy this week, as I will be driving quite a bit, and will record when he talks about global warming. Unfortunately, thanks to the mileage he is attempting to get out of this story about Hillary, he hasn't really discussed it much.
He may be off this week for the holiday, so there will be guest hosts if he is. But I will get back to you on this.

Maybe you should make up your mind. You have on more than one occasion claimed I stole a quote from Rush. Now you question wether I listen to him. In both cases your claims are convenient for you even though they are contradictory.

Nice slide BiR, but the key issue is your statement that Rush said. Not what he'll say, but your statement was based on what he said.

I maintain Rush's stance is against the pseudo scientific notion that global warming is largely man caused.

I actually don't care. I just wanted to see how you'd react to your own modus operandi. I have my answer.

No. This sort of thing happens all the time. It happened when I headed up a Presidential campaign in a large county in the South.
