Any ideas where to boycott, if you can boycott cloning?

Thanks, I'll do some checking around, Saggy, when I get the chance.

Welcome to the Forum, BTW! [IMG]

You're best bet would be to write your senators asking them to pass legislation that provides strict punishment for those who clone or attempt to bring a cloned baby into the U.S. Anyone who has knowingly cloned a baby would also be banned from U.S. soil. I'd hold off a bit untill we know if this whole Eve thing is for real. I have a feeling it just might be, but who knows...If so, It would be good to have a form letter ready to send out the moment the results are back.

Sunday morning headlines (AP) Amsterdam, Netherlands. Clonaid, the company that claims to have produced the first human clone, said Saturday it has produced a second one...a girl born to a Dutch lesbian. Clonaid vice president, Thomas Kaenzig, said the baby is a girl whose parents are two Dutch women. "It's a homosexual couple from Holland. The baby's doing fine. They're very happy and excited about it." The birth did not take place in the Netherlands, where cloning is illegal.

Clonaid was founded by the leader of the Raelians, a sect that believes aliens created life on Earth. Clonaid sells "cloning" services and products and may benefit from the publicity around it's claims, whether they are true or false.

I think the time has come to write our Senators and Congressmen. This is already becoming a very real problem.

    May God Bless our efforts.

Cloning is legal in several countries, so the best solution would indeed be to write to your elected representatives.

Please read my post "Interview with Pro-Cloning Sect's Priest" in the Baptist Forum, "News for Baptists Worldwide". It is almost too laughable to take action on...but I'm afraid we're going to have to... [IMG]

I edited to correct a mispelled word...another "Senior Moment"

SIGN THIS PETITION CALLING FOR A BAN ON ALL HUMAN CLONING.
This message is from the "Center for Reclaiming America", it is a 'Grassroots' organizagion, and they want to deliver 150,000 petitions to the leaders in Washington, D.C. later this month.

    http://cfra.info/93/petition.asp?RID=3194483

I ALSO THINK WE NEED TO TYPE THIS PETITION AND SEND IT TO OUR LOCAL CONGRESSMEN AND SENATORS. THE PETITION READS AS FOLLOWS: (Of course, it can be expanded upon).

“As a concerned citizen I believe human cloning of any kind, is an affront to human dignity and must be outlawed. I am urging our leaders to take immediate action to pass a PERMANENT ban on all human cloning, including human embryo cloning.”

Cloning is much in the news right now. Hopefully, if we strike while the iron is hot, we can see real action on the issue soon.

"I believe human cloning of any kind, is an affront to human dignity..."

I think cloning is God's job....it's called twins.

God gave us the proper way to reproduce. I believe it is immoral and arrogant to think we can improve upon that.

It seems to me that no sooner does God give man the technology to create something new, when Satan comes in and perverts the original use.

There is only ONE Creator and He does not belong to this radical group. JMHO [IMG]

    True.
Just for the record, I'm against it. The possibilities of what it can be used for are horrid, I see absolutely no good in human cloning. It'll be used for organ harvesting and for gay couples for a start!
I just like to see if people who are against ANY issue can state why. People going against something without a good reason will fail, and a lot of times Christians will take on a view of something without knowing why, and that's dangerous.
