JERUSALEM – A CNN special series airing this week entitled "God's Warriors" – produced and anchored by the network's chief international correspondent, Christiane Amanpour – is "one of the most grossly distorted programs" ever aired on mainstream American television, according to a media watchdog report.

What else should we expect from Amanpour?

I am at training for two weeks for my job, and just happen to catch a few minutes(thats all I could stand) of Larry King interviewing a Muslim cleric, a Jewish rabbi, and an assortment of "Christian" clergy. They were so apologetic, except maybe one, about the Gospel and the innerency of the Bible, the off switch shortly followed.

I think I watched part of one of them tonight.

They featured Ron Luces youth organisation and their "toe to toe" battles against the ultra liberal cesspool in San Francisco. I got the distinct impression that the woman doing all the interviewing considered Luce's group to be the dangerous one, rather than the militant gays, witches, New Agers, baby exterminators, etc..

    Incredible.

I saw only yesterday's segment of "God's Warriors." I missed the ones about Jewish and Muslim warriors. The one about Christians forcused on Jerry Falwell, Lucas, and others with the Religious Right. Amampour didn't interview anyone with the Religous Left except for a brief interview with Jimmy Carter. Why do they focus on the Religous Right and ignore the Religious Left? I also didn't like what one person said on the show (I can't remember his name), but he said you can't get a moderate block because they are moderate. "What is so exciting about moderates?" he said. I guess there's the Right and the Left and nothing in between.

Thanks, hillclimber, for the link. That has proved very helpful for my son. He just finished reading it. He is watching the series for school and had already picked up on a couple of the inconsistencies/problems. We have them on tape and he still needs to watch the Christian one and then write a paper.

Now I wouldn't run to CNN or Worldnet Daily looking for balance, both have shown themselves to be less then objective when reporting.

There isn't much on CNN that isn't distorted to either the left or against Christianity.
Personally, i thought about watching it, but figured it would be what i'm hearing it is. I'm glad i called that one right.
Apparently Glenn Beck is the only redeeming quality the CNN has as of late...which is really pretty scary!

I've got all three segments on DVR (digital video recorder).
    will watch them tomorrow.
already watched part of the Jewish segment, and it's not looking good.

SN said "except maybe one" . That "one" is John MacArthur . He stands for unadulterated biblical truth-telling . He'll be featured again when the series concludes .

We (my wife and I) watched all 3 segments. Basically so we could contrast the 3 to see the different slants that she (Amanpour) might put on each one.
What struck me most was that a major portion of both the Jewish and Muslim segments were taken up by the violence between the two.
Whereas, when she did the Christian segment, she tried to bring out the violence, but all she could drudge up was a very short part on the bombing of the abortion clinics. Then, of course, she went off on the "fundamentalist", right wing angle.
I thought the very end of the airing was a very good example of what Christianity is. She caught up with a young lady who was leaving the Ron Luce crusade. The young lady was walking very happily along singing (I think..."Oh How I Love Jesus").
Amanpour went up to her and asked why she was singing and so happy. With a beaming smile, the young lady instantly responded, "I found Jesus tonight". That, to me was worth it all!
Just sort of appropriate for a series that was trying to put Christianity in a bad light, yet the last words of the series were proclaimed by someone who declared "I found Jesus..."!!!!!
