    ....Dear Mr. Obama:

Have you ever seen a Muslim hospital?

Have you heard a Muslim orchestra?

Have you seen a Muslim band march in a parade?

Have you witnessed a Muslim charity?

Have you seen Muslims shak[ing] hands with Muslim Girl Scouts?

Have you seen a Muslim Candy Striper?

Have your seen a Muslim do anything that contributes positively to the American way of life????

The answer is no, you have not. Just ask yourself WHY???

Were those Muslims that were in America when the Pilgrims first landed? Funny, I thought they were Native American Indians.

Were those Muslims that celebrated the first Thanksgiving day? Sorry again, those were Pilgrims and Native American Indians.

Can you show me one Muslim signature on the United States Constitution? Declaration of Independence? Bill of Rights? Didn’t think so.

Did Muslims fight for this country’s freedom from England? No.

Did Muslims fight during the Civil War to free the slaves in America? No, they did not. In fact, Muslims to this day are still the largest traffickers in human slavery. Your own half-brother, a devout Muslim, still advocates slavery himself, even though Muslims of Arabic descent refer to black Muslims as “pug nosed slaves.” Says a lot of what the Muslim world really thinks of your family’s “rich Islamic heritage,” doesn’t it Mr. Obama?

Where were Muslims during the Civil Rights era of this country? Not present. There are no pictures or media accounts of Muslims walking side by side with Martin Luther King, Jr. or helping to advance the cause of Civil Rights.

Where were Muslims during this country’s Woman’s Suffrage era? Again, not present. In fact, devout Muslims demand that women are subservient to men in the Islamic culture. So much so, that often they are beaten for not wearing the ‘hajib’ or for talking to a man who is not a direct family member or their husband. Yep, the Muslims are all for women’s rights, aren’t they?

Where were Muslims during World War II? They were aligned with Adolf Hitler. The Muslim grand mufti himself met with Adolf Hitler, reviewed the troops and accepted support from the Nazis in killing Jews.

Finally, Mr. Obama, where were Muslims on Sept. 11th, 2001? If they weren’t flying planes into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon or a field in Pennsylvania killing nearly 3,000 people on our own soil, they were rejoicing in the Middle East.

No one can dispute the pictures shown from all parts of the Muslim world celebrating on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and other cable news networks that day. Strangely, the very “moderate” Muslims who’s Snip you bent over backwards to kiss in Cairo, Egypt on June 4th were stone cold silent post 9-11. To many Americans, their silence has meant approval for the acts of that day.

And THAT, Mr. Obama, is the “rich heritage” Muslims have here in America…

Oh, I’m sorry, I forgot to mention the Barbary Pirates. They were Muslims.

And now we can add November 5, 2009 – the slaughter of American soldiers at Fort Hood by a Muslim major, a doctor and a psychiatrist, who was supposed to be counseling soldiers returning from battle in Iraq and Afghanistan.

That, Mr. Obama is the “Muslim heritage” in America!

P.S. Now, you can add the Boston Marathon bombings, too…

I look forward to our fringe left responses. It should be entertaining.

BTW - this was a great letter. But I can see why he lost his job. More of us need to follow in his footsteps.

If this is what passes for intelligent commentary in America today, we're in trouble. Moreover, I anticipate that I am going to get slammed for daring to question this foolishness.

Muslim hospitals exist throughout the Muslim world. You have to have a large enough community of people to start a modern hospital, and Muslims have generally been a very small religious minority in the United States. There are many Muslim doctors practicing today. In my recent health battle, I was treated by several. Moreover, not that many religious groups are founding hospitals in the United States anymore. It is such a big business - with enormous amounts of regulation - that it is hard for hospitals to compete.

No. I haven't seen a "Christian" orchestra either - except in church. Public orchestras are made of people of many faiths, or no faith.

No. But I haven't seen a Christian marching band either.

Yes. There are Muslim charities in North Texas.

This is a strange question. I have no recollection of anyone shaking hands with a Girl Scout. My interactions with Girl Scouts have been them taking my money and giving me cookies.

I think so, although I didn't quiz them on their religious affiliations. There were a number of women wearing hajibs, and some men from Arabic backgrounds. I'm sure some of them were Muslim. MD Anderson in Houston has a diverse volunteer program.

    Sure.

The answer is not no. I have to ask myself why the writer of this screed has not. Is he inexperienced in the world? Does he not live anywhere near Muslims? Is he willfully blind to things he doesn't like? Is he dishonest?

The Native Americans were not Christians either. Why is this relevant?

Again, the Native Americans were not Christians either. Why is this relevant?

There were very few, if any, Muslims in this country at the time. You could use the same rant against Asians - an ethnic group. It would be just as relevant.

Again, there were very few, if any, Muslims in this country at the time. You could use the same rant against Asians - an ethnic group. It would be just as relevant.

Lots of white Americans did not fight to "free the slaves" in America. In fact, they fought to preserve the Confederacy - including my own ancestors on my father's side. Does that mean that all of us who have Confederate ancestors are not good Americans?

Actually, the Nation of Islam was quite vocal in the Civil Rights movement. The Nation of Islam is a sect of Islam that gained some popularity among African Americans. Much of that movement has moved to affirm orthodox Islam since the 1960s. About 25% of orthodox Muslims in the United States today have an African-American heritage.

There weren't that many Muslims in the nation during the Woman's Suffrage era. And if you're going to bring up Woman's Suffrage as a good thing, then we must remember that many Christians - and churches - were opposed to a woman gaining the right to vote.

We've suddenly shifted from Muslims in the United States to the political actions of predominantly Muslim countries. This is a bad precedent to set since Hitler's Germany was officially a "Christian" country. So was Italy. Japan was also part of the Axis and was involved in butchery throughout the Pacific nations - especially China. So shouldn't this broad brush we are painting with also indict Christians and adherents of the Shinto religion? Do we hold ethnic Germans, Austrians (Hitler was actually Austrian), Italians and Japanese people responsible for the actions of the Axis?

Yes, some were doing exactly these things. Many others were not. Some of them were dying in the attacks with other Americans. Others were doing everything they could to help those that could be saved. Even more were donating blood in the hopes that it could be used. Many more shed tears of grief for those who had died, and for themselves, knowing that there were going to be some people who would try to stir up hatred and anger toward them as a people group.

Disciples of Jesus must be honest and fair in their dealings with others. We are also called to exercise intelligence and wisdom. This screed is foolish and intellectualy dishonest and should not be promoted by Christians.

Islam is a political, military, and religious system. There are no orchestras in the Islamic world because they do not value that in their culture. Their charitable activities are slight because they believe in kismet.

Substitute "h0m0s*xual" for Muslim and this could have been one of your posts.

Baptist Believer just earned my respect for what might be the Baptist Board post of the year. A short and sweet take down of the ramblings of an idiot with a myopic world view. Well done. It's amazing how willfully dishonest drivel gets posted by the same OP time and time again even after being called on it constantly.

I love how out of all that you posted, the only thing CMG took exception to was the orchestras.

I'm SOOOO glad you addressed this because I could barely believe that someone would write it. But I knew just as sure as someone did, it would be the sort of thing that got passed around by the types that hang on the every word of Hannity, Limbaugh and O'Reilly as though it were the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

It wouldn't be questioned as untrue because it sounds so good and keeps with the narrative certain groups want everyone else to have about ALL Muslims.

This thread is cracking me up! But it's a shame that y'all have shown him that the piece is filled with lies, but he's still insisting it's the truth.

Well ok then. I suspect they would believe me before they believe you after all the blatant lies posted in here.
