    A lot of upsets in week two as well. The Texas/Ohio State game (though not an upset) was one of the best games in a long time.

    After two weeks, this is the top 25 broken out by conference:
    ACC has seven teams in top 25
    Big 11, Big 12 and SEC each has four teams
    Pac 10 has only three teams
    Big East has only one team (thanks Louisville for joining)

    There are five big games are this week --
    * Tennessee vs. Florida
    * Boston College vs. FSU
    * Notre Dame vs. Michigan State
    * USC vs. Arkansas
    * Miami vs. Clemson

    Who will win??

    Hopefully Michigan State will beat Notre Dame.
    My two favorite teams are Michigan State, and whoever plays Michigan.

    Hate Florida (don't even like visiting the crowds, heat, humidity, etc) BUT ...
    * Tennessee vs. Florida
    * Boston College vs. FSU
    * Miami vs. Clemson

    * Notre Dame vs. Michigan State
    * USC vs. Arkansas

    Dr. Bob, I agree with all your pics.

    Iowa State always seems to play Iowa tough, then they find a way to mess things up in the Big 12 north.

    How is Southern Cal - Arkansas a big game? Southern Cal is something like a 30 point favorite. A respectable loss for Arkansas would be to keep the margin to 21 points or less - and I don't think that will happen as I think Southern Cal will win by 35 points.

    I don't think USC will cover those 31 points. I tend to think the score will be more like 38-17.

    Florida by 4 over Tennessee.
    Florida St. by 11 over Boston College.

    Clemson has aother late game rally, but this time they come up just short against Miami.

    Michigan St. at Notre Dame... although indications point to a game with a lot of offense, I don't think there will be a lot of scoring, and the margin will be within a touchdown. It's just hard to project a winner, though. MSU has a historical grudge against ND, and after 2 (supposedly) tough road games ND's performance may slack off at home for this game. I will take MSU by 3, realizing how far off that might be.

    Here are my predictions ---

    * Tennessee vs. Florida --- The Vols win and give the Gators' new coach his first loss.

    * Boston College vs. FSU --- FSU wins again and welcomes Boston College to the ACC.

    * Miami vs. Clemson --- Miami wins in Death Valley. But it will be close.

    * Notre Dame vs. Michigan State --- My heart says State, but I'm afraid the Irish will not have a let down from last week's big win and will find a way to win.

    * USC vs. Arkansas --- This is a big game because USC finally plays an SEC team. Too bad it's Arkansas. However, while USC will win, they won't cover the spread. It will be closer than expected.

    My prediction:

    Southern Cal - 45
    Arkansas - 10

    I am afraid some of you don't realize just how bad the Razorbacks have become under the tutelage of Houston Dale Nutt. [IMG]

    Were the Razorbacks good before Nutt?

    There was actually a resurgence under Nutt for the first couple of seasons(basically using players recruited by Danny Ford), but things have gone downhill since then.

    Unless things turn around the next week versus Alabama I think the Hogs will have a losing record again this season and I would expect Nutt to be either fired after this season or be promoted to athletic director if Frank Broyles retires and then Butch Davis(he is close friends with the money people at the U of A) to take over the football team next season.

    Nutt led that out of loserville. They were pethetic before he came and have moved up to mediocre.

    Don't forget spurrier being spanked by the Tide this weekend.

    Over and under on the times spurrier will throw his visor is 4.

    Yes, that is true, unfortunately. And I think that is all Nutt is capable of doing. I think it will take someone like Butch Davis to lead Arkansas back to being a national power once again as it was in the 60s, 70s, and 80s.

    I cannot believe how many Seminole fans are quaking in their shoes over this game against Boston College. I keep hearing around here in Tallahassee, "Oh no! We are playing BC! They are too good! We are going to get spanked!"

    Confidence is something that has been lacking amongst Seminole fans, thank you very much Chris Rix.

    "I will take MSU by 3, realizing how far off that might be." I guess I was right and wrong at the same time about this game [IMG] .

    Also, right according to bottom lines, but not in the method of getting there, I said "Clemson has aother late game rally, but this time they come up just short against Miami."

    "Florida by 4 over Tennessee," "Florida St. by 11 over Boston College," and USC over Arkansas 38-17 are yet to be determined. But I won't be a Greek regardless.

    I think you have the game too close between Southern Cal and Arkansas.

    Well, I got Arkansas' point total right [IMG] .

    How about Florida St. over BC by 11-- exact.
    And Florida by 4 over Tennessee-- within 5.
    Along with Michigan St. over Notre Dame by 3-- exact.
    Not that bad a week.
