Tony Romo was an undrafted free agent in 2003. Before this season he had never taken a snap in a regular season game, and before Sunday night he had never started a regular season game, yet everyone seems to know who he is. The Cowboys really must be America's team because an undrafted free agent backup on any other team in the NFL would be living in obscurity.

As far as the old school comeback is concerned, it's kind of neat that a couple of head men, Tony La Russa and Pat Riley, who haven't won titles since the late 80's, led teams to championships in 2006.
