Ann...A Canadian Pure blood runs arond 35-45 thousand up here. It is a very good riding horse and jumper. My daughter just bought one for her girls and it was shipped to Florida a few weeks ago. That is the average price for that breed of horse across Canada. The same animal bought in the USA can run up to $80,000. ...I think there are some funny antics in that industry.

We like the car, thank you. Prolly be the last one we buy...Next one might be a Cadillac black van, commonly called a hearst,,just rental mind you......

    Cheers,

    Jim

Hi Sheila, Actually the new one is for Mary. I get to retire my old truck and drive her old car.......Why do I always get the "old" things? lol

The new one is a 7-seater, so I'll get to take some of the old folks out for a drive in the countryside....Mary can drive when she finally retires in March.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Good morning all,

I woke up to a blessing this morning!

Our basketball and volleyball team are in MO at a tournament this week-end and I had a PM waiting for me from a BB member when I got up this morning. He was at the tournament too.

I don't think it will hurt to post it here since no one knows who it is from. I don't even know! All I know is his user name, but the PM sure lit my fire, especially since my granddaughter is the volleyball coach and my grandson is on the basketball team!

I thought it was SO nice of this gentleman to take the time to write this PM.

My daughter is at the tournament and I called her cell phone this morning. All the adults were having breakfast together and she put her phone on 'speaker' and I read the PM.

That nice gesture of one of our BB members made everyone's day start off with a blessing!

    Time for coffee,

Today is pretty sad for our church family. A dear man in our congregation died this morning of lung cancer. We saw him Wednesday night and he looked pretty good for a man in his state (he was at hospice) and he died at around 9:30 this morning. I'm just so sad - but glad that he can finally breathe and run and just praise the Lord all day long. He was just 50 years old and leaves behind a wife and 2 college-aged daughters. :( His memorial service will be Monday - I'm sure I'll be working all Monday morning to get ready for it - Bob will do the music - including a song from Kathy Troccoli, an old friend of his, which made me cry when he just played it. **SNIFF**

The rest of my day was spent putting together the Sunday service on the computer including TRYING to find good pictures of the pastors for a fun thing we're doing for Pastor Appreciation. It took me almost 3 hours to find 9 pictures. Bleck!! But I finally got it done, came home and am now relaxing with you guys and a cup of tea - I need it! Tonight we'll go out to dinner (the yacht club - gotta use up the rest of our minimum - we pay it anyway, might as well get something out of it) and then we have cell group (our small group).

I have to say that I'm really fried. :tear:

    Good morning all!

It is pretty cool here this morning - again...but at least the sun is shining.

Daughter, grandsons, granddaughter, and great grandson will be coming back from the basketball/volleyball tournament in MO sometime this morning. Other than that, and running Shawna to work, it's going to be a 'laid back' day for me. :applause:

I've got to get started baking Christmas goodies and sending them out. I usually start the 1st of October. I'm running late this year.

    2 months - 58 days - 1385 hours - 83034 minutes - 4984970 seconds left to Christmas!

    Time for coffee!

    Good Morning Everyone!

Another busy day and this time I might not be back! Jenna has basketball evaluations, we have company coming and I have Halloween costumes and a pile of other sewing to do. I won't be back until it's all accomplished so if you don't see me for a few days, don't miss me too bad. :D

    Ya'll have a good day.

Didn't you know that they expanded the SAT? It's to measure how well-rounded the student is. It covers basketball, music, cooking and driving. It's quite a bit harder than when WE took it!

Eeh - that's so old-school. You know, you must worry, above all else, about the children's self-esteem!! We can't have them feel like they're failures, you know! We must test them on things that they're good at -whether it will help them in life or not.

    ;)

    Good Morning Everybody,

I'm finally starting to feel like posting again. It's been awhile.

Can't stay long though, we're visiting a new church today, and I have to get ready.

I'll try to check back in later.
