    18 degrees!?!?!

We are at our lowest temp of the day right now at 45. The low forecasted for the morning is 35, if it makes it, it'll be the lowest for the season so far. High today was 64.

It's also not THAT cold here - it was 38 this morning when I got up.

Today was a horribly busy day! I got up, got dinner in the crockpot, got kids up, dressed, fed and then out the door. Jo went to preschool while I got the Sunday service together (no notes for Sunday, yeah!) and then we had homeschool group. I had to leave group early to take my oldest to the doctor for her annual check -up, then I dropped her back up at church (they stay up there on Fridays after school), and came home with the 2 little ones. I walked in the door and there was a message from the youth pastor, could I come to tonight's youth group event and run the computer - oh, and set it up too? UGH!! There went my quiet night at home! So, a quick dinner and off to church again (honestly, I think I live there sometimes). The youth event went well (we do an event with parents and teens every 2 months), and I got home at 10:30. I clocked a TON of hours this week!!

So, I'm off to bed! I'm shot!!

    Goodnight all!
    Ann

    Good morning all,

It is not as cold this morning, only got down to 37º. We are in for some rain most of next week with some temps in the 70's!!!

I managed to catch a cold with the temps going up and down so extremely. Please pray that it doesn't turn into Bronchitis or Pneumonia, as it is prone to do...

Everyone is still asleep and I think I'm going to lay back down for awhile. I slept propped up with three pillows after taking a breathing treatment last night but only got about three hours of sleep.

    CYAL,

    Good Morning Everybody,

Hmmm, I'm the 2nd in this morning. The coffee's on so that means that Sue has been in already. The security squirrel has left, and all I hear is echoes.

I brought in waffles with three kinds of warm syrup, bacon, and mini-sticky pecan rolls for breakfast. Enjoy.

We have a concert tomorrow at church with a local Christian recording artist named Buddy Houghteling, then a brunch after the concert. I've got to throw something together for the brunch, I haven't decided what yet. I'll be like the subway sandwich ad - it'll hit me.

I've got chores to do, I'll try to check back in later.

Morning all! There was ice on the cat's water dish so it must have gotten cold overnight but right now, at 9:30, it's 43 degrees, so not too bad. I also have chores today - this house has gotten to be a mess so I need to get on top of that. DH just took the girls to church for play practice and they'll be there until 1, and I'm going to have him take the littles to Home Depot for their children's workshop so they can make something cute. :D I'll actually have the house to myself while he's gone!! It looks like a beautiful day today so I just may wash my comforter and hang it outside to dry. Hmmmm - I love the smell of line-dried laundry!

So, have a wonderful day, everyone! Thanks for the waffles, FoG! That was JUST what I wanted this morning!

It has been "suggested" to me that I bring Double Banana Bread, and Double Cranberry Muffins for the brunch tomorrow.

I guess it beats trying to come up with something on my own, or is the Pastor trying to "suggest" to me that he likes the bread and the muffins?

I would suggest that the Pastor likes the bread and the muffins.

    Hi Gayla,

I meant to ask you if you could identify any of the photos I sent. They were taken a few years ago and are a bit blurry,,,,I think that was me, not the camera. You see one that I just missed the Queen coming out to get in the horse carriage,,lol....is an almost photo ok?

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Evening all,

It has been a busy day, but then week-ends always are...that's why there is less posting in here - we're busy with our 'real' lives... Today my 'real' life consisted of laundry and leaves!!!

We've been getting ready for a big day at church tomorrow and the ministry center needed cleaning up after last night's "Family Night".

We're dedicating our new ministry center and are expecting quite a few visitors. We're also having church there tomorrow instead of the sanctuary of the church so all the pews had to be moved.

We are also having a free ribeye dinner for everyone at the ministry center after church. Yummmmmm!

Time for a shower and bed - another busy day tomorrow!

    Pleasant dreams all!

    Good morning all,

    This is NOT double posting!

It is 45º this morning and, as I said last night, it's going to be a busy day.

I'm just checking in to let everyone know I'm still alive!

    No time for coffee...

Uhhhh, Sue... I hate to be the one who bursts your bubble but, you don't have to wash the leaves before you rake them, however; if you want to dry them really quick do it over an open fire.:tongue3:

    Good Morning Everybody,

Yes Sue, we know you're still alive. I always read the obituaries first thing in the morning...if my name isn't in them - then I get up.

I got the muffins and the banana bread done yesterday, so today I can just coast.

Breakfast today in the coffeehouse consists of Eggs Benedict, Apple and Cranberry Quiche, Broiled Georgia Ham, Hashbrowns, Hot Blueberry Muffins, and Fresh Fruit. Enjoy.

I've heard it said that music has charms to soothe the savage beast, we'll find out today if banana bread, and muffins have charms to soothe the famished Pastor.

I'll try to check in later.

    Good Mmmm....Good Afternoon Everyone!

Been another busy day, but not too busy to bake a pan of lasagna for the Coffee House!

Had a great church service and then choir practice after. My voice hurts from singing so much. I'm treating it to a nice cup of hot cocoa with whipped cream on top. Ahhh, feels better already!

I hope everyone is having a blessed Sunday!

    Hello Gang,
Figured I'd better check in ....been down with a cold & BH ain't doing so good again. Just took Agee to work, & gotta catch up on a few sites. Jerry came in for a day & took Agee out to dinner last nite.
Got a laptop to play with now...if Agee don't claim it after all the work I put into putting her a desktop together! But it has more power & stuff so we'll see. She's already hinted that "her" printer would work much better with the laptop!!
Been in the high 20's here at night, 60's durin the day. I think thats what made my cold worse too...espically riding around with both windows down!
    Well gonna run for now!

    Good Afternoon Everybody,

The concert at church this morning was great. The brunch wasn't bad either. I made an extra loaf of double banana bread, and some extra double blueberry muffins for the Pastor. We really had some good snacks for the brunch.

It is so embrassing when people make a fuss over what I make. I'm a cook...not a chef. I'm more lucky than good. People just don't believe me.

Now it's time to relax for a short time.

Supper tonight is Easy Layered Taco Pie, Mini Taco Bowls, 5-Minute Southwest Layered Salad, and Upside-Down Apple Tarts.

    Cute Rob! :tongue3:

Church was great this morning, as usual. We dedicated our new ministry center and had almost 500 people there! The FREE ribeye steak dinner was good too!

Well, I'm off to the services tonight, then coming home to what I hope will be a good, restful night's sleep.

Have a great evening and pleasant dreams all!

Hey all - I'm just checking in quickly before I go lay down. I'm getting a migrane and am going to try to take it easy to see if that helps. If it doesn't, I'll take Imitrex just before bed. bleck!!

However, even with a headache, I still went riding today! I wasn't supposed to - my friend/trainer was giving the other girl who rides my horse a lesson and she wanted me to hop up to show the other girl what she was saying. So I hopped up and he KNEW he was in for some real riding and so decided to not make it easy for me to show the other girl. Well, I rode all of 5 minutes but we got a LOT done - bucking, tossing the head, being VERY disobedient, finally beginning to do what I want and finishing out absolutely beautiful. The dope could have had such an easier time if he just did what I wanted in the first place. LOL!

Church was awesome, as usual. Pastor went off on a tangent again (we're supposed to be doing the book of Romans - we're 4 weeks into it and just finished verse 1 last week). Last week, he covered the fact that Paul was called - and felt God leading him to ask those in the congregation who felt called to the ministry to come forward and we had 50 people come!! He prayed and sought God as to what to do with all of these people and now he's going to start an intensive study program for all of these people - basically a full theological course of study so that they will be equipped to plant churches, start ministries or whatever God's call on them is. It sounds SO awesome and something that I'm going to get involved in, I think. It won't produce a diploma but everyone would have studied just what they would if they went to Bible school. Gotta say, Pastor is definately open to the tough stuff from God! LOL!!

So, I hope everyone else had a great day. It's chilly here tonight but the house is warm, we had a wonderful dinner, and now it's time to relax. :D

    Good morning all,

It's getting hard for this old man to read, so, I'll have to post in size 5 this morning! ;)

These past two weeks have been very strange for me. I have been contacted by a first cousin around two weeks ago, and she's had a rough life, just like the rest of my birth famly. Few of them know the Lord. But, I've had a chance to witness already Then I found out that her Brother is alive and well as well, and that she has another blood sister, whom is sheltered up . It was great to finally meet one of my first cousins if only by the internet. She's sent me pictures of them making baskets, etc. I loved it. I knew my GGreat Grandfather his son, and his brother were all basket makers and that they made weaves that are still around today and are considered very valuable and are collectors items. They are very rare, but the Czar of Russia had one when he and his family were murdered. Some have been appraised at up to $35,000. Wow, if anyone can fnd a Bohall Basket, please, let me know. I'm the only one of the GG grandchildren that doesn't hae one. They are very famous especially around the Monroe and Brown County area's in Indiana.

Hope all is going well. I seldom get to check in any more.

I am praying for all here. I do peep in from time to time quickly so I can get the prayer and praises!

    God bless y'all.

    Bro. T

Hi Tony! It's good to 'see' you! :wavey:

    Good morning all,

Church was great last night, but everyone was very tired from the big day. We came home and went straight to bed and I had a WONDERFUL night's sleep! The best in a few months! :godisgood:

Brent ran over the leaves, Saturday, with the mulching mower, but other than that, we didn't get very far. It is either raining or very windy, neither condition is conducive to getting rid of leaves. We are not allowed to burn them, so they must be bagged and taken to the landfill.

We usually start school at 8:00, but I'm letting Brent sleep in a little this morning. He was at the church for 12 hours yesterday (helping set up and take down and set up again) for the services in the ministry center. He was worn out last night.

Walgreen's has some sale items I would like to pick up today, other than that, we're staying home.

    Time for coffee,

    Good Morning Everybody,

I glad you finally had a restful nights sleep Sue, it seems like you give and give, and go and go all the time.

Today is kind of a down day for me, I don't know why, it just works that way sometimes. I'm still on my meds, I guess it hasn't been long enough for them to work effectively yet. I just don't feel like doing anything today.

I'll try to check in later today.
