Good Morning Jim, Judy, Donna, and Barnabas!

Judy: Welcome to the Coffee House. I hope you will become a regular customer! All you have to do to respond is click on "Add Reply". You will soon get the hang of it! [IMG]

Donna: I used the recipe you provided me (of course) and, yes, I used pork rinds. It was VERY good!

blackbird: You need to look farther to find out who swiped your dynamite. I have only lived here since April and the bedroom furniture has already been moved TWICE! [IMG]

Diane's hubby is home today. I think she may be spending some quality time with him. ;)

    HEY HEY HEY

What's with all the noise?? Explosions, carpenters banging and lost posters wandering through.

Just because some of you are for the birds (and get up with them) let's keep the noise down for the night owls and old crows. [IMG]

    [IMG] Morning Dr. Bob! [IMG]

It's the early bird that gets the worm! On the other hand, it's the second mouse that gets the cheese.

So it looks like I'm stuck with a worm while YOU get the cheese. :D

    Sue,

talking about worms, I have been out in the garden working on one of the front borders, digging and weeding and I only found 1 worm  and I think I gave him concussion !! The soil here is heavy clay, and it is hard work. And no...I don't want any of Blackbirds dynamite, thank you [IMG]

I am actually thinking of buying and sending him an alarm clock. Do you think he knows how to use one  I am still waiting for my tape. I think he has forgotten me :(

Almost dinner time here, and then prayer meeting. Talk to you later,

    Blessings

    Sheila

    Sue,

Worms are a gardeners friend. I was hoping to find more in the soil, but didn't. I didn't intentionally give him concussion, I just didn't know he was lurking in a clump of soil when I bashed it to break it down a bit. :(

Well, I ache now, and standing up straight is an effort, so I will veg out for a while,

    bye for now,

    Sheila [IMG]

Sheila--my apology again to ya! But I can explain!! I have drastically improved on my sermon delivery since Sunday before last and am in the process of recording and copying that sermon--along with another one I have improved on--

Its sorta like the late great college football legion--Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant---even when he had a national championship team at Alabama(hold your right hand over your heart when you say that word)--he always knew there was room for improvement in that championship team!!! So I am always looking for ways to improve--how can I do it better than I did last week sorta thing!

So its comin' soon, I promise!!

Working on one about Jesus and His confrontations with John the Baptizer--there on the banks of River Jordan---ole John--his diet is a little "off" from glutton Americans--locust and wild honey! I kinda figure anybody that can eat locust without "lookin' back"--Mississippi figure of speach there---you had better leave that fella alone--he's some kind of man!!! I would have to ask the Lord Jesus--"Lord! Can I have a hamburger instead??? Please???!!!!"

Thanks for the good times on the board, folks!

Your Southern Baptist preachin', hamburger eatin' buddy,
    Blackbird

I learned two things over the years, Blackbird; Never apologize for your sermon, and a sermon delivered can never be improved upon. That is tantamount to saying that God has not already used His word in the hearts and minds of those listeners.

Cheers, mate, and keep on preaching.

    Jim

I'm not apologizin' for the content--that's a done deal!

The delivery---how can I polish the delivery!!?? Some preachers deliver in a Cadillac--mine is more like a Mack truck!! It'll get you where you want to go--but you're gonna get "jarred" along the way!!! Know what I mean?? Mind you, now! I won't take any back roads--I'll stay on subject!! But its the potholes along the way--you notice um more in a Mack than you do in a Seville!! Wondering what I can do about that??

Well Blackbird, I've heard several of your sermons and don't think you need to change a thing! Your delivery is 'just right'!

So, Sue's been decluttering and I've been making a mess. I retiled a bathroom today! I've still got 3 pieces to do but I need a ruler and square and just gave up long enough to feed all my boys.

Tomorrow is AWANA and I take over as Director of the Cubbies. I observed for 3 weeks since I've not done Cubbies before. I've always been with the Sparks. Saturday is our statewide training. I'll be gone from very early in the morning until supper time. I'm looking forward to it. I've gone to 3 other trainings and have always learned so much.

When we married in 1970 we finished grad work and took an Associate Pastor in a large suburban church. Instead of beginning dirt poor in the ministry, we were blessed with a good income.

Spent $1000 on a bedroom set (good, solid, spanish style heavy duty stuff) to go with our mattress set.

NOW, after just 33 years, the wife is whining and complaining and wants a huge new set. Modern stuff - 127 inches wide. $3000. + king size bed set.

Her money so I'd humor her. SHE'S SERIOUS. Wants to go out tonight and lay down the bucks.

I always joked about trading her in when she turned 40 for two 20's.

    She said I wasn't wired for 220.

    Evening all!

Diane: I don't like to retile at all! We did our bathroom and there are still two small places we need to redo...we didn't have the self-stick tiles.

Dr. Bob: I'm not touching THAT one with a ten-foot-poll. [IMG]

I have been having fun DEcluttering! I love to 'fling' stuff...especially when it's hubbys. :D

Gonna relax for a while. TTFN. [IMG]

Well I'm dead tired! However, hard work keeps my mind busy... LOL... and sometimes busy is better! LOL

Hope you all had a good day. I've been putting some stuff on Ebay. It's frustrating having to resize photos and then fill in all the blanks. I tried selling Nick's BJUP stuff from last year and only sold ONE thing at pennies on the dollar.

About this time of the nite--Blackbird usually takes an energy pill---of course, I wake up poppin' those same pills---

    Directions--

Go to snack cabinet--open it! Grab a handfull of peanuts!!! Go to stove! Heat up left over cornbread in oven and have cornbread and milk! Go to cabinet--have a bowl of cereal--the good kind like Fruit Loops or Reese's Peanut Butter cereal or coco-crispies!!! Its good to be alive, ain't it!!

Today, I'm lacking energy - maybe I need one of Blackbird's energy pills.

Jan shared her cold, or whatever it is she has, with me. Thanks but no thanks.

I stayed home from work today - but spent some time this afternoon tearing off part of the garage roof.

Br. Bob - I liked your wife's comment that you are not wired for 220. I can relate to that.

Sorry you're not feeling well Dan. :(

I'm just popping in to say good night.

I am riding my Scwhinn uptown EARLY tomorrow morning to the Farmer's Market. I will bring some fresh veggies and fruits home in my basket!

I don't want to hear anything about me sleeping in just 'cause I won't be stoppin' in here 'til I get back either! :D

    Pleasant dreams all!

What an evening. $500 for a pillowtop King bed. Then really BIG $$$$ for a whole new bedroom set and extra bed for the guest room.

Then to WallyWorld to check spread/sheet (NOT the kind I'm interested in, but the kind Martha Stewart sells) sets, paint swatches, curtains. There until 10:30! Don't they close those places?

    Oh the inhumanity.
