The only "RULE" here is NO fussin' - NO fightin' - NO feudin'!

I will try to be here to serve you; but if not, feel free to help yourself.

First one in every morning puts the coffee and tea on, last one out at night turns the lights off...

We serve donuts, cinnamon toast (dry toast available upon request), crumpets, bagels, scones, croissants, brioche rolls, donuts, yogurt, salads, light lunches, popsicles, ice cream, homemade cookies, homemade cakes, homemade pies, and homemade jams.

We also serve coffee (with/without caffeine), hot chocolate, hot tea, iced tea, fresh squeezed lemonade and orange juice, cappuccino, Mountain Dew, DP, DDP, Coke, Pepsi, milk, milkshakes, Kool-Aid, and Carb Options.

If you don't see your drink or food of choice...just ask, we will do our best to stock it for you!

Our aim is to please...come and sit a spell, enjoy the fellowship and come back often!

As Christians, we are ALL on common ground...

Good night all! I'm posting this at 11:57 - so by the time I hit "post", it will be tomorrow.

I realized today I haven't stopped in for a while and I needed to say "hi"! We're all doing well. We had a wonderful vacation and are now back into the swing of school again.

And in being back in the swing of things, I NEED to get to bed. I'm up at 7, so it comes around too soon if I don't get to bed soon. :D

Hope all is well with everyone! I'll see you tomorrow!

    Good Morning Everybody,

It is 60 degrees and overcast here, headed for a high of 66 today.

Ann: It's great to see you back. I'm glad you had a great time on your trip.

Gayla: That is fantastic news that the chemo is showing results. Praying that today's treatment is easier for you to tolerate.

Today is going to be a easy day[for a change.]

I forgot and picked up the kitten today. Suddenly I remembered why I can't bend over and pick up anything yet. I've never liked having to take medications[especially for pain], but I think I'm going to have to break down and take one.

I brought in Eggs, Sausage Gravy and Biscuits, and fresh fruit. Enjoy.

    Good Morning Everyone!

Sue, I wish I had a basement! Then again, it'd just be something else that had to be cleaned!

My husband saved his own life by not actually bringing that much stuff home. It's just a few boxes and I think I can find room for those.

Gayla, I'm praying today's round goes easier on you since you have had a break. We found part of the pool leak and slowed down the water loss. But we either didn't fix that leak well enough or there is still another one somewhere. I'm guessing next spring we'll have to have a new liner installed We have some serious washing away of the sand that is supposed to cover the cement blocks that the pool supports stand on. One of them is just about coming through the liner. We couldn't see a hole, but we put some repair vinyl over it anyway and that slowed down the leak. I'm not sure we did a real good job of that. I can't dive, so Chris was having to do the actual work of applying the patch and he'd never done it before. If I want fixed better I have to drain half the pool out and do it myself. Can't decide which is the worst waste. Adding water once a week or so or draining 7 or 8 thousand gallons and filling it back up.

Cuz, get in the recliner and stay there!

Today is general housecleaning, school, karate and sewing at the church. Ya'll have fun!

Rob - Is it back issues you're having?? A friend of mine is coming out with a book on back pain in January and it should be a VERY good book. Here's the link to it on Amazon:

    http://www.amazon.com/dp/0736921680/?tag=baptis04-20

(btw - if you've ever seen Martha Stewart and the pet guy Mark Marrone, that's her brother-in-law :D )

Today is a little bit of a lazy day. I was able to be home ALL morning and I don't have to leave until 4:15 when I have to take my 15 year old in for her physical. After that, it's just dinner of bbq pulled pork and then a relaxing night. I LOVE days like this!!

Gayla - praying for a good day for you today. ((HUGS))

Hi Ann. It's not my back this time.

I tripped and fell about two weeks ago, and I ended up with three broken ribs.

All they could tell me to do is to rest and not lift anything. They don't even tape broken ribs anymore.

So I just try to do what I can,and if the pain is too bad I'll take a pain pill.

Ouch!! I missed that!! I'm sorry and I hope it feels better soon. Motrin should help if you don't want to take anything stronger.

    Good night all,
I just want to grab a mountian dew, leave the chocolate cupcakes and donuts for tommorrow and go to bed. Tommorrow will be a long day. After work I will drive to church and will get home about this time tommorrow night. I was hoping that my car would've been out of the shop so I could drive it instead of the gas guzzling van I am using at the moment. But no such luck yet! I will probably not be back in until the weekend. Mom is having a biopsy and some other tests run Thursday so I am going to the hospital with her and will go back to work on Friday. I had better go, bedtime is coming really quickly!
    Y'all have a blessed day!

    Good Evening!

I'm scheduled to be at the hospital for chemo at 9:30 tomorrow morning. But I have a cold. Sinuses all stopped up, sneezing and coughing. (Both children have it, too.) Don't know if it'll prevent treatment or not, though.

Islandgirl, will say prayer or few for your Mom.

Islandgirl, what's your mom's biopsy for? Please keep us updated.

Tanya, sounds like you're sick and tired of being sick and tired. ;)
    Hope you're feeling better today.

Rob, hit those pain meds!

Sue, as usual, you're working too hard!

Ann, have a great day off! :)

MK, I'm familiar with the leaky pool problem. Good luck!

    Hi,
Had the treatment, went to potty on my way out of hospital, and frowed-up before I got to do the thing I was in there for in the first place.:BangHead:
But after that I felt better. Just trying to remember the schedule for all my meds now.
2 anti-nausea, 1 for my tummy and 1 for reflux. :tonofbricks:

Mom had some scopes and other tests done in addition to a mammogram.
They found something on the mammogram as well as some spots on her liver and one of her kidneys. I had better go, I am supposed to be cleaning the car. Yeah- the car is home !!!!!!!!!

My my , where did everybody go that I used to know? Sue, I saw your pic at the beginning of the thread, but, Lawdy! Are you still around?

I know I seldom come here, and at one time promised to try and come back a bit more often, but, it just seems that this place isn't as easy to get into as it used to be for some reason. :BangHead: But, maybe I'll continue to try every now and again.

Well, hope y'all have a great Thursday! I'm going to go back to some other forums that I post on and see how they're doing this fine day. Have fun.

Tonnnnnnnnnyyyyyyyyyyyyy! How are ya? I stop by whenever I can, but this has been the busiest summer of my life!!!

    Good morning all,

It is a chilly 43ยบ this morning and I am definitely NOT ready for fall!!! We still don't have the outside of the house done. This makes beautiful working weather though, if only Brent wasn't so busy with school and church activities to work on it...

Most Saturdays he is free and on Monday night. That's about it. His late afternoon and evening schedule:

Sunday morning...bus route, SS and church
    Sunday evening...church
    Monday evening...FREE!
    Tuesday after school...basketball practice
    Wednesday evening...choir practice and church
Thursday after school...basketball practice then soulwinning
    Friday evening...basketball game
    Saturday...FREE!

And, of course, we have the paper route scrunched in between all those activities 7 days a week.

I am still plugging away at getting the inside of the house painted. Right now, I am removing a wallpaper border around the middle of the dining room.

    Busy, busy, busy!!!

    HAGD!

    Good afternoon all,
Mom got some good results- the mammogram showed a cyst and the surgeon that was supposed to do the biopsy this morning decided that he wanted to see an abdominal ultrasound first. The ultrasound showed an enlarged blood vessel and that was it! Now if y'all don't mind- I'm going to take a nap. My nephew is in the homecoming parade tonight and I have to catch some :sleeping_2: ! I didn't go to bed until very early this morning and then I couldn't sleep!
    Later!

Good evening all! Today was quite busy and I didn't have much time to get on the computer. My oldest had a root canal done today for a very bad abcess she's got (everything went well), then I had to make up a dinner for a friend who just had a baby - and I put ours together while I was at it, went riding (and the horse got hurt so I had to take care of him for a while), came home, finished cooking dinner for the friend, delivered it, made our own dinner, ate, then ran out to do some errands that were getting more and more pressing (of course, I forgot the drug store for my daughter's antibiotics! ARG!). SOOO, it's now 9:20 and I'm finally sitting down to relax. Whew!!

I hope all is well with everyone! I'll hopefully see you all tomorrow!

Wowsers, Sue! Sounds like you're REALLY busy! We haven't been busy down here in TN this summer....the sun has been far too hot, had dried up all the creeks and reserviors, and we were on water restraints until last week. We finally got 2" of that 19" of rain that we needed! PTL for that!!! :godisgood:

We've had several large brush fires in this area, one burning nearly 100 acres in a little less than 3 hours, and then one burning just across the county line here headed our way. We were hoping and praying we weren't going to have to evacuate our homes on this road! Thank the good Lord it stopped three roads up and one road over. It only burned down one pole barn full of hay, which was pretty bad for the farmer..he had to end up taking his cattle to auction a couple of days later because there wasn't any hay left, and the grass was all burned up...nobody had any to spare, and many still had to take their cattle to auction last week. I was glad to hear one of the farmer say in an interview that, "The Lord gives, and the Lord takes away...it's just a cycle of life and it's a test of character to see who's gonna stick it out in this life!" ....what a great thing to hear from a farmer who's lost his crop and has had to turn around and sell his cattle...his eyes still turned towards the Lord! :godisgood:

Well, y'all, though I don't remember or know many of you'uns any more, have a great day!

Sue, don't overdue it. I don't want to have to be sending get well cards to the hospital in Lincoln! ;) Give all our best there.

    Good Morning Everyone!

    Hey there, Tony!

I'm still around, just really busy right now. Take this morning for instance. Chris and I were supposed to go grocery shopping and have a nice lesson on budgeting while we were at it and instead, Jenna woke up with a 102 degree fever so, we're headed to the doc's! That's the way it has been since school started. To think, I thought that once school started things would calm down some.

Humberto is busily dumping enough rain on us that I won't have to add water to my leaky pool this week and the way things are going it might overflow. I'm not about to complain since this area needs every single drop we can get right now. Some of our lakes are 15 feet below where they usually are at this time of year. Hopefully we'll get enough rain to help raise the levels some. (Most of our lakes are used for making electricity)

    Gotta gooooooooooooooo!
