    Nature's Beauty

The leaves on the trees are
    blowing, blowing, blowing
    As the moon is glowing.
Oh, what a sight on a fall night.
    Nature's beauty is surely showing!

Good Lord's Day to All. It is a beautiful even if we do not have any sun. It is very over cast here in our bright city that just went over 100,000 people. We live on the outskirts of the city now and we feel like we are going to town when we go shopping.

Actually, we can shop in the town north of us or the town south of us. We see cows and open fields, windmills, oil wells, as we travel to either town. No, we really do not live in the country. Just a small community.

On my way to church. See you later.

I will take my coca cola with me.

    Bye.

Good morning, Betty, to you and Ed. May the Lord bless you richly as you worship Him.

We have all those things here, except the oil wells. We are in the country, however, and it is a great delight to look out the window at times and see Black Bears, white-tailed deer, wild turkeys, geese in the air, and all the rest of God's marvellous creation. I have been watching a doe with triplets this summer. It is wonderful to see them frolic in the field and play tag with each other. I dread the thought that hunting season is approaching and I fear at least one of the little ones will be gone.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Good Morning Betty!

Here is your [IMG] to go. Grab a donut before you leave!

I am off to church, then out to Wal-Mart to buy paint for the foundation of the house. I will see you all this afternoon.

Boy Sue! You keep busy! Painting the foundation now??

Church attendance was way down today but it's 'Fall Break' for the local schools for over a week. The kids had off from this past Thursday through Tuesday 14th! Gosh.. they just got started! Nick and I won't take off. I'd rather take off for neat things like 'the leaves are so pretty... let's take the day and go hiking', etc. Of course, we can't afford to take cruises like two families I know of either! LOL

So, Cubbies should be warming up any minute now. Sure hope we win!

    Afternoon all!

Church was great this morning. Daniel 3:16-30. About how WE are put into the fiery furnace at different times in our lives and how God only puts His best through fiery trials because He knows they will make it through losing nothing but their bonds.

Had to go to Wal-Mart after church, then we went to Bonanza for lunch before coming home. That is a locally owned, 3rd-generation, Christian-based Steakhouse with a hot and cold salad bar besides the steaks etc. you order, so I was able to stay on my diet pretty well.

What a joy to be back at the Free church preaching (in the absence of their new pastor). It was like "old home week". Good to visit with some dear folks.

It is HARD to interim in your own city. Usually I fill in for 6-12 months, traveing each weekend to a church. When the new pastor comes, I simply don't return.

But here in Casper, I see these folks at the store or the mall. I could not just drop by, as we had to give the new pastor time to bond (without us being around).

Yet only after 14 weeks, the Pastor and elders asked me to come back and it was sure hand-in-glove with great freedom to preach. God is good!

(Although why God would allow Kansas City to beat the Broncos is beyond me)

We had a glorious time today at church worshiping our Lord God. The Sunday School lesson was on the Holy Spirit and the pastor's sermon was on the Holy Spirit. As the youth would say "Awesome".

Then we had lunch with Ed's children and my step children. Ed's daughter is going to have his first real grandchild. You know he already shares seven of mine. We are so excited a baby in the family.

Babies ARE wonderful! I will have the honor of keeping 'Jack' the week of the 13th while Daddy and Mommie go to a church seminar in Atlanta. I'm thrilled. I 'talked' with him on the phone today. He's 7 months.

It amazes me how old people are when they have their first kids now! Scott and Sandra were in their 30's! Used to be so much younger.

    Congrats to Ed and Betty!

    First time here,

    Hi, [IMG]

I was Out all day yesterday at the Royal Albert Hall in London, listening to Billy Graham's Daughter, Anne Graham Lotz and Jill Briscoe. We did bible study, prayer and worship. It was great day of just being with the Lord, although a long day, went to bed at 9.30 pm.

Went to Church this morning. It was harvest festival. We watched a video on South America from the Baptist Missionary Society. Opened our eyes to the world and what the Baptist Missionary Society Missionaries were doing in a small remote village, they came alongside the people for 7 years and are now building a church for his people.

Back to work tomorrow but have Thursday and Friday off next week.

Sipping a nice glass of Coca Cola

[IMG] Back at you, such joy! Not a fan of Ann, but Jill Briscoe is a favorite of my wife and I. We pastored not far from the Bible Church in the Milwaukee area where they ministered and heard them both often. Good folks.

Missions are dear to my heart. My goal (until my recent illness) was to spend part of every year on the mission field. There is such a need!

    Thanks for sharing! [IMG]

    Hi,

Went to Camden Road Baptist Church, just over the road from where I lived in Hilldrop Road, North London, and then moved to Kentish Town with my hubby.

Been in Romford now for 25 years. Moved here when our daughter was 4 months old, moved nearer my husband's job in Ilford, although now he is working in Romford. Made our life here.

Romford has changed so much over that time. There are a lot of clubs and pubs now. Drunken Violence is a trend that is setting in. (The power of prayer is needed for Romford at Night).

I like Coca Cola, have not found anything that matches it yet, only drink diet Coke, I did try decaffinated coke but it does not taste the same. I drink hot water, I do not drink tea or coffee.

Joy, you will 'ave a tuff time singin' that famous song:

    Maybe because I'm a Londoner,
    That I luv rosie lea.......

Had two great uncles that owned the Abbey Arms Pub in Romford...I am looking back some 50 years now..name was Torrison..they would be long gone now though.

I still get a weekly London rag, so I manage to keep up with what is happening over there. I have read a few nasty notes about things in Romford..that roudy London crowd moving in.

Good sto see you here...You will have to meet the other Brits who come here.

    Cheers,

    Jim
