Time for the Rally Hats Barnabas! Somethings gotta give so Sue can get to sleep soon! I'm afraid we're going into extra innings! [IMG]

The fat lady isn't singing anytime soon!

I saw it on t.v. yesterday Dan! One of the kids educational shows was talking about it. Today there was a show saying that mummies are being found with no brains.... [IMG] and just tiny holes in the skull. Scientists have discovered that the ancient Egyptians drilled holes in the skull, siphoned in alcohol and within 20 or so minutes were able to pour out the brains! Now there's a good reason NOT to drink!!

What happened to the Cubbies? Losers again? I missed the game but just caught Sports Center. They kept showing the same Cub bias (they'll be back; this is only game 1) and who-cares-about-the-fish attitude that permeates the posts by certain unnamed BB'ers!! Right, Sue?

The sun will come out tomorrow! Sammy broke out of his slump and the Cubs WILL be back! [IMG]

Wow, I really never thought I would ever find a room full of fun. I have found a place I can go to express my thoughts. Wow.. For the record,I am a Chicago Cub fan. Growing up as a kid I remember going to Wrigley Field ( NO LIGHTS ) and watching Ernie Banks, Ron Santo and many other Stars play baseball. Now, We have a chance to be Stars again. Way to go CUBS. I just want to say, thanks for letting me be apart of something so very special. I am going to grab a cup of coffee to go and I will visit tomorrow. Have a great night and God Bless.

OH NO, NOT ANOTHER CUB FAN??!!

Wait a minute, Mark - you're from FLORIDA. Wassuuppp?

Sue'll put the coffee on in the a.m. (and moan and groan about the Cubs being "robbed") so bring an appetite AND earplugs. We all use them when she starts carrying on . . .

BTW, returned from our "Caring Center" Banquet. Great time. Good inspiration to see what is being done with so little.

M.D. from Denver spoke, really challenging to help keep this ministry going.
Thank God for all those standing against the darkness and giving hope and help to the defenseless babies and their mothers.

Good Morning all you nice people (you too Dr.B - ) [IMG]

Welcome to the Coffee House Mark. I'm glad to see you're a Cub fan! There are some on here who razz us but that's just because THEIR team isn't doing well (but I won't mention any names). :D

Well, the Cubs lost, but it took 11 innings for the Marlins to get the job done (notice - no whining)! [IMG]

I see we have a new governor in California.

The "Do Not Call" list is official now. [IMG]

Coffee is on, tea is steeping, donuts are ready!

Morning Sue! Glad you tidied up the place and made all cozy here. Yes, the Cubs lost last night, but what an effort they put on. It will be an interesting series. Now they have to bring out some of their best pitchers to stop the Marlins... [IMG]

See you all later today as I wil be busy with payroll and other important matters. [IMG]

Not a lot of time to post---just wanted to see if somebody will keep Blackbird's seat warm while he's away today----

Fixin' to leave in a few minutes---driving a church group of Senior Adults up to the State Fair in Jackson--gonna stop at Shoney's for a "snack"(that's what Blackbird calls eatin' after 6am!!) and then go to some performance there at the fair!!

Ain't preachin' life fun?? Boooooooy, Blackbird has it rough, don't he??

Your Southern Baptist preachin', fair ride ridin' buddy,
    Blackbird

    Dr. Bob,

I didn't hear Sue moaning and groaning over the Cubs loss. Guess we'll have to fire you as the Coffee House's resident psychic!

Good thing we live in the N.T. era - cause if we was O.T. - we'd have to stone you for your BIG flase-prophecy mistake.

Seriously though - keep those jokes coming on your email list!!

Blackbird - don't have too much fun with the "old" folks - or they'll think you're as old as they are!!

Sue - sorry about your cubbies - maybe next time!

    Dan

Good Morning Blackbird, rsr, and Dan!

Blackbird: Have fun with the "Senior Saints". We can be a hoot! [IMG]

rsr: It's good to see you dropping by, stop in more often! This is the only forum on the board where conservatives, moderates, and liberals are not allowed to fight. :D

Dan: I think Dr.B's bowtie was too tight, and restricting the blood flow to his brain, when he made that statement about whining. [IMG]

I like the new Coffee House Chapel. It seems to have more room! I liked the devotion this morning too! [IMG]

    Hi Everyone,
just dropping by in between chores! Running a little behind this week on chores since we were at the doctor yesterday morning. The prednisone is doing it's job and Nick's bites are WAY down! Praise The Lord! Tomorrow is his Dentist day and this wonderful pediatric dentist closed the office we used to go to and now is way down south of Atlanta so over an hour each way.

    Talk to you all later.
    Diane

I just posted a prayer request in the prayer forum, and I would appreciate it if you all would go over and read it.
I am just not in the chat mood today.

Just got back from the hardware store. Hubby took the day off to put finishing touches on foundation, put a handrail by front steps and generally get the yard ready for winter.

I will be outside helping him all day; so I will check in this evening.

Boy Howdy to all. Getting strangled (elsewhere) by my bow tie, so -- nyah nyah nyah -- nothing you say can bother me today!!

But taking a break from doing the month (and quarter) taxes for the clinic. Ugly job that will take me most of the day.

I AM disappointed that there was not more moaning about the Cubs! I was trying to push a button . . and nobody jumped. Gotta go back to my notes from seminary where I took "Guilt and Intimidation 101".

Hope they win tonight and make this a great offensive series.
