The only RULE here is NO fussin', fightin', or feudin'!

I will try to be here to serve you; but if not, feel free to help yourself.

First one in every morning puts the coffee on, last one out at night turns the lights off...

We serve donuts, cinnamon toast (dry toast available upon request), crumpets, bagels, scones, croissants, brioche rolls, yogurt, salads, light lunches, popsicles, ice cream, homemade cookies and homemade pies, and homemade jams.

We also serve coffee (with caffeine and without), hot chocolate, hot tea, iced tea, fresh squeezed lemondade and orange juice, cappucino, Mountain Dew, DP, DDP, Coke, Pepsi, Diet Sierra Mist, milk, milk shakes and Kool-Aid.

If you don't see your drink or food of choice...just ask, we will do our best to stock it for you!

Our aim is to please...come and sit a spell, enjoy the fellowship and come back often!

As Christians, we are ALL on common ground...

Well good morning everyone. Crazy day here today. I have a tooth to be filled at noon and also have to work 11:00 - 7:00 p.m. so I've got to clone myself. I think I'll keep the new one! LOL The owner put up a sign just saying 'Dr.'s appt. Store will open sometime after 12:30'. He's a man of FAITH... thinking I'll get my tooth filled and drive to the next big town all in 30 mins., let alone the dentist fitting me in on TIME.

A young lady our Jon was good friends with in high school has kept in touch and called a few months ago wanting to come and visit during her vacation. She's flying in tomorrow afternoon. He's so nervous. Jon is so shy anyhow! He's 27 and still can't talk to girls. LOL

Well my beds need to be made, some clothes need to be folded and Nick needs to get to his schoolwork early today so I'll talk to you all later from work.

Have a blessed day and please keep us in prayer about Jim's job. He's going to take the one job which is full time but at a SMALL guaranteed salary. It's sales so if something better comes along, they just will put another body in his place. He's also going today to see if there are any evening factory jobs he can pick up for extra work at a temp hiring firm. Still haven't heard anything else about the state job but then it just closed on the 20th. He has one guy who had to cancel an interview because of an emergency and an interview next Monday. This is going to be one of 'those down to the wire but God always comes through' times.

Oh, and all my helpers were at AWANA last night and we only had about 9 children. One of my boys kicked his friend in the stomach (had already kicked two other people yesterday) so his Dad came and took him home. The others were really good and DID listen to the story of the Good Samaritan.

Talk to you all later.... I should get extra 'posts' for the length of my posts. This has got to be worth 10, don't you think Dan??

    Good Morning Diane!

Sounds like you have your 'plate full' today! Will be praying for you at the dentist and Jim at work.

It is time for me to bundle up and head for the 'corner', so I will be back later.

    TTFN!

Dan says - how many beds do you sleep in? If nick and Jon can't (or don't know how to) make their own beds - then they don't need making!

Yes - Diane - you should credit for ten posts - know how it's done?

G'mornin' y'all! [IMG] I had my fresh-ground BIG cuppa joe very early this a.m., so tho't I'd try one of those "diet sierra mist" you offered....mmmmm~good! (I had one of the small cans).

I think I heard the radio say it's to get in the high 50s today! Da granny can't stand this cold! brrrrr  grrrrr

I like readin' the stuff y'all write & seeing all those "thingies" some of you are good at...When I first signed on, it took me awhile before I finally figured out how to use the gremlins that come w/the BB. [IMG]

Well, guess I'll scuffle off to other places...but first, I need to go check my mailbox. (I love to get mail). [IMG]

Good morning Sue, Diane, Dan, and Granny! Hope all is well with you folks. Just dropped in to see if things were OK, and found the board down. It was in the "OFF" position in the BB control panel, so I opened it back up. Somebody must have yanked the "Welcome" sign.... [IMG]

Settling down here - we had a super Kid's Klub here today. Our church planting effort is a little slow, but praise the Lord for the children's works.

Anything exciting happening over on your side of the pond?

    Good Afternoon All!

I have to make a quick run to Wally World before I go to the 'corner' this afternoon.

I was cleaning Mr. Coffee and broke it! Hubby can't do without his thermos of coffee to take to work, so I'd best scoot out there and get another one.

I KNEW I shouldn't have cleaned it! Everytime I clean something it falls apart!

Sue, you are often running to the corner lately. Are you telling us everthing about standing at the corner? I wonder.... ;)

I remember, when I was only three years old, my Father made me stand in the corner. I don't remember what I did wrong. My Mother told me to ask my Father's forgiveness but I held out stubbornly. Later my Father came and asked me if I was OK? By then my heart broke and I was just crying. He gugged me and kissed me in the cheek and told me how he loved me. I was so ashamed to disobey him in the months ahead... he told me how proud he was to have a son like me. From that moment on when either my Mom or Dad scolded me I immediatelly broke down crying. For I was so determined to do good and not hurt my parents. Unfortunately less than a half a year later, when my Father was out in the Street, the advancing Russian Army killed him for they thought he was looking out for the retreating Germans. [IMG]

So, I again ask you Sue, is there something you don't tell us about your frequent standing at the corner? [IMG] [IMG]

Well the dentist took over 3 hours AGAIN. A fella had fallen asleep at the wheel and crashed his car messing up his mouth really badly so Dr. Camp was trying to fix him up temporarily so they can figure out what needs to be done when the swelling is all gone. Meanwhile, I sit numbed with nothing to do.... BUT, my procedure didn't hurt and no problem other than he left the stuff a little rough by my tongue. I'll ask them to smoothe it when I go for my cleaning next week. Again.... he did not take any money. May God Bless Dr. Bruce Camp.

Jim has taken a straight commission sales job as a part time thing and went to a temp service looking for a night job at a factory so he can still job search. PLEASE continue to pray. I'm really afraid we're not only going to lose our home but end up without a place to live at all. Right now we have ZERO income. I get paid $50. a day when he needs me at the store but we can't live off $100. a week!

Bro.Barnabas~I appreciated you sharing your story, tho' it be a sad one....you have a gentle spirit.

Diane~I am praying for you..."Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid".

Well, it's soon time for that ol'gas-man to come home, so guess I'd better go rustle him up some grub. He works so hard.

    Hi Granny!

My grub is cookin' right now too. I am making another low carb supper tonight. Smells good but the proof is in the pudding!

    [IMG] Barnabas [IMG]

I don't know what else to tell you except that is where I go to make money! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

(You asked for that one!) [IMG]

I used to cry when I did something wrong too, it made the spankings shorter!

Off to finish cooking, will be back after supper.

    TTFN!

Glad somebody figured out what was happening here. I had only a quick minute this am before appointments . . and couldn't get on.

And now I'm home but must start supper and work on sermons, etc.

Truly a problem when our WORK interferes with our HOBBY!

Will come back late night (per usual) and talk to myself . . [IMG]

Hey Dr. Bob... Are you still itching? I guess we'll both itch until we go through all the clothes that have been washed in Tide!

LONG day at work. The stove had gone out and it was pretty chilly for a couple of hours. Only ONE phone call all day except from the owner. He's such a nice guy.

Sue, seems like you'd be doing REALLY well standing on that corner as pretty as YOU are. Wink Wink

Hey Granny. What was for supper for your man?? Good southern food I bet.

Hi Dan, Hi Barnabas, Hi Blackbird, Sheila, Gwyneth... did I miss anyone??

    Good evening all,

Went to ACN meeting in Corning (40 miles from home) - first 20 miles - snow and blowing - second 20 miles - no snow and roads clean.

Can't understand how the weather conditions can be so different just 20 miles down the road!

Dan - not complaining - just wondering!

    Hi Dan,
We have a couple of spots like that here..ten miles down a highway and you can actually see the dividing line....rain or snow....but then in summer, we can watch the storms go all around us, especially when we need rain very badly.

    Cheers,

    Jim

So now I've got a couple of Hives. I bet it's nerves and I wore a shirt today that had been recently washed in Tide and then dried with a dryer sheet. Itch Itch....

Why oh Why is everything a RERUN tonight???
