Morning back at you all. I am up and finally enough energy to slave over a hot computer! [IMG]

Have lots of stuff to catch up on, but on my energy level thermometer, I'm -50! Wife is home this morning (she worked all day yesterday on her day off) and babying me. And I like it! :D

God bless all as we live and breath and praise His Name.

Barnabas, I am for any team playing the Yankees, especially ones with Curt Shilling on the roster. Would have liked it if the boneheads here would've taken him back. I just wish the Sox didn't take so long to win it last night. As we saw, baseball is no game for keeping the blood pressure down.

Great day to be praisin' the Lord, however!

It's raining again, and I can feel it in every bone I've got. But the LOVE Park fountain is bright pink and that adds some cheer, even if its purpose is to raise awareness about breast cancer.

    What's goin' on everywhere else?

Barnabas: I'm so glad you dropped by! I thought we had lost you! ;)

Tater: I'm glad you're not going to change your name. I can hardly imagine calling you anything else! :D

Dr.B.: We prayed you would feel better today and it's good to see your fingers are working well. [IMG]

Debby: Speaking of pink and breast cancer - M&M's are supposed to be donating money for breast cancer research for every bag of their pink and white M&M's sold. I have searched every store in Lincoln and cannot find any for sale!

    Has anyone else bought them?

Time for Brent's Pace test in Social Studies...

    CYAL!

Thanks for the welcome back, Sue, I wasn't sure anyone would remember me! I did manage to get a little sleep. (got up about 30 minutes ago! Glad I don't have to work today) I really need to get the a/c fixed.
Debbie, I haven't seen any of the pink M&M's here either, I'll have to ask the lady who orders the candy at my store.

Just found that a police officer who is agood friend of our family has been diagnosed with breast cancer. 30ish with a little girl and pregnant wife. It is almost always fatal in males.

Wondering out loud about such research and work on men. Surgery is next week and I'll be wearing a pink ribbon on my collar this week . .

How DARE I go to the bathroom? It's raining here... muddy to beat the band... and Nick, Ty, Max and Brooke go out to swing! Had to wash off all those tennis shoes. YUK. Red Clay.

    Good morning all:

It is another cool, crisp morning here, but NO RAIN! Woo Hoo!

Shawna is having problems (and severe pain) from her surgery. She is having 'bladder spasms' because of the catheter. She has been to the ER twice since she came home from the hospital Saturday (the last visit was last night). I am going to pick up another prescription for her when I finish on 'the corner' this morning...

Brent is having two teeth pulled Friday morning and he is not at all excited about it! They are 'baby' molars and he will be glad to get rid of the infections and toothaches, but is not eager to go through the procedure. I DON'T BLAME HIM!

Morning All, Ty didn't get back to sleep but for a few minutes. His 'cup' had leaked all over his mom as they were coming in and he got too 'awake' I guess... but that means I didn't get enough sleep. [IMG]

I got Jim up and out very early to try and get a flu shot at the VA in Atlanta. It was first come first serve for Veterans. Praying he's able to get one. With his health problems.....

AWANA tonight. After asking for prayer for the concerns, the program has run so well.

Hope everyone has a very blessed day. Praying for all these who are ill and those who are facing things like Brent..... [IMG]

Morning all! Don't get to check in often, but like to catch up when possible.

A great morning for a LARGE cup of java! The weather is yucky here too, but at least we're not experiencing the "S" word ... yet. ;)

Hoping those of you ailing know peace from the pain today. God bless!

Boy Howdy. Heading off to get blood tests done. No one is sure what is going on. NOT the first time with this old sin-cursed body!

But read my emails and Sue had graciously sent a note that the Tom Swifties game was on page 20. I haven't even been on that whole game forum since I got home. Ugh. And I enjoy it.

Will be back anon. Praying for one and all.

Good morning all! We still don't have the 'S' word, but I do have a/c!!! Had someone come out yesterday evening, and repaired it for me. In addition so some wires that had become severed (no clue how that happened, it was within the unit)there was also a major ant bed inside, almost burying the compressor!!! I have never seen such a thing!!! We do have an ant problem, but I sure didn't know they had gotten into my a/c unit!!! Enough dirt to fill a bucket!!!

    Good morning friends!

Renmar... ANTS! Oh dear! Is that the compressor on the ground? A squirrel or mouse will bite into wiring. We had a mouse under the house in Cleveland, Ga. that kept biting through a phone line that hooked to our t.v. for direct t.v. I discovered it when we were not getting charged for movies we had rented! Once it was repaired, I got a good sized bill with all those movies listed! We had to put out something to rid us of that mouse!

It's 66° and still very wet here today. Overcast too! Jim drove all the way to the VA for his flu shot before daybreak and no shots available. :(

Dr. Bob, I do so hope they can find the source of this infection and get you feeling better really soon. I worry about you, my friend and we have you in prayer~!

Dreary outside here today. But the rest of the week is looking up.

I'm off to Hershey, PA Thursday, Friday and Saturday with my daughter for a cross-stitch convention. She's the cross-stitcher, I'm the transportation and the one with the money, [IMG] ! Maybe I should get a chocolate bath and cocoa butter massage at the spa!
We will be checking out those outlet malls in Hershey and Lancaster. Looking forward to some good PA Dutch food.

Alas, I have to take my laptop along for work, so I'll probably be checking in here.

NOW we're talking, Debby. Wife loves cross-stitch, but worked 4-years on a large counted one (of a civil war scene). I prefered printed ones myself, before my fingers went south and typing is even a struggle.

Willow Valley Resort & Conference Center, 2416 Willow Street Pike, Lancaster, PA - Lancaster's best smorgasbords and Sunday brunch, featuring old-fashioned PA Dutch recipes, a variety of fine chef specialties and desserts baked fresh in the on-site Willow Valley Bakery is my favorite. Wonderful place to stay (we held conferences there annually in late 80's and 90's) and even BETTER place to eat!

$3 off coupon for smorgasbord on their website.

Hello everyone! Was kind of busy the past couple of days with wife number one... [IMG] She has been waiting for a surgery with her left shoulder. She fell on the ice last January and since then she was going from one doctor to another to no avail. Finally we got a specialist who get her under his wings and yesterday she was operated on. They made three small incisions around her shoulder and went in with a pin like apparatus to scrape her rotator cups. Now due to the pain in the left shoulder, she was not able to lift her right arm either. The operation was a little over 2 hours, but the recovery after surgery was over six hours due to her adverse reaction to the anesthesia. At one point they were hinting to keep her overnight in the hospital because of her trouble with breathing and horrific chest pain. The doctor gave her two of those small pills under her tongue, which are being taken by potential heart attach patients. Finally she was well enough to come home. It was after 11:30 that she was released. She had a good night sleep and this morning she came to my bed and lifting up her right arm above her head, she said: "Look Honey! I can do this, and no pain!" Praise the Lord, the surgery was a great help, but we could have done without the recovery episode.

Hope you sports enthusiasts and diehards will forgive the Yankees for gong all the way to the 7th game tonight. I think it is all business. Mr. Steinbrenner wanted to make it sure that he gets his money's worth (with full attendance at the stadium, TV commercials, selling of goods, etc.). Tonight the Yankees should show the world who they really are..... (and here you can fill the blanks with your thoughts). [IMG]

Hi Barnabas! It's good to "SEE" you and even BETTER to hear of the good results of Lenke's surgery!

Shawna is certainly having problems recovering from HER surgery this past Friday. I am praying that Brent doesn't have any problems with HIS surgery November 2nd.

Gracious! Barnabas and Lenke! I'm so glad everything went well. I had no idea the surgery was yesterday but will pray for continued healing!

Poor Shawna! I can't imagine what she's going through! OUCH. I think this might all be a lot for Brent to 'see' knowing he's facing surgery too. Poor kid! Praying for them both.

Dr. Bob! Any results? We are so concerned for you. I see you posting a little tonight so I hope that means you're beginning to fight this infection!

Had a really nice night at AWANA. Got to visit with Pastor Rick for a few minutes afterwards and saw a lot of my adult friends that I don't get to see as often since I work with the little ones so much. We had perfect attendance in one of our rooms and a good turn out in the other!
