Debby---it ain't a cat---its a trick!!! Once you're on the site----it casts a "hex" on your whole household to become cat lovers----once you press the "enter" key----there will be no pressin' the "escape" key----of course, Blackbird could "foresee" the danger and thats why he still remains in full capacity of mind!!!!!

    Hi Sheila,
Thanks for asking. Buddy knows her name and we even took her outdoors to-day without a lead. She is responding to buddy and settling in with the other dogs. We started her this morning on paper training and she is doing well in that department. She is a great dog.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Jim,

That is great news. Sounds like she is an intelligent dog. What breed is she, or is she a Heinz 57 ?

That's GREAT Jim. It is so sad to me when people find a cute puppy and then as soon as the 'puppy' faze is over, they discard their animals. Of couse, I just spent a few hours at the animal shelter yesterday so this is fresh in my mind.

Patches is doing very well. She took right away to us. She's not quite sure about the children coming and going. They're quite loud compared to us and Ty is rough. She slept with all of us last night, going from Nick's bed to our bed in shifts. I napped this afternoon on the sofa and she slept right up against my chest the whole time. I woke before she did. Sheila,

Face and tail seem to be husky...the rest could be anything, but not a large dog..something like a small border collie body. She is quite alert and responds well to basic commands....She is sitting to take biscuits or treats, and shaking a paw...I usually start with the simple things I can do...

    Cheers,

    Jim

She sounds like she has a bit of hair, Jim. Does she have the colorings of the border collie or a mixture of both breeds?

I have been up since 3:00am, after a restless night, and I've had two 10-year-old boys all day.

    I'm going to bed!!!

    Pleasant dreams all!

How can you go to bed at 7:30 Sue? I just guess I'm a night person. I'd sleep for 2 hours and wake up thinking I'd had a nap, then be up most of the night!

We've just finished supper and dessert (rice pudding) and I'm heating up the iron to do Jim's shirts and pants for work. He has off Friday and Monday but he's out of long sleeved work shirts. Oh he's still got his short sleeved shirts and it's to be quite warm the rest of the week but better today than Sunday!

She's a lovely dog, Jim. Almost as pretty as Diane's kitty. She looks like she could very well be a huskey/border collie mix. Here in the states some people try to pass off husky mixes as American Eskimo's. AE's are NOT a real breed but some people don't know that. So there you go, you have a breed name that you can use.

In just the two days, she will sit on command, shake a paw and she answers to her new name of Buddy. Wife took her outdoors to-day without the lead and the pup stayed with her the whole time. Simply amazing. Took me 6 months to do that with the Black German Shepherd we rescued last year

    Cheers,

    Jim
