My first time in this thread - Howdy!! Where's the flavored creamer for my coffee? :D

FINALLY a day of sunshine in SW Colorado after 2 weeks of snow, rain, sleet, wind, thunder, and everything else that God had in the arsenal.

Praise Him for the moisture - we have been in drought for several years, and half of my church are farmers.

Hi Debbie and welcome to the CH! I hope you become a regular. This is a respite from the debate threads...

We have any kind of creamer you want!

It's 7 pm and still showing 76 degrees on my Weatherbug! It rained for about 15 minutes at about 4:30.

A couple days ago I asked about the Heat (COLD) Pump. A week after we moved in [middle of July], we got up one morning and itactually was a HeatPump
:D that day! Had no freon and the compressor or fan motor was shot. If it's just cool, it is warm enough, but when it got cold, the auxilliary would click, but don't know if it came on or not. Maybe we should get someone out to look at it.

Hey, I'm going out on a date! Got $25 coupons from Red Lobster (had a poor meal there over the holidays so emailed the VP of the company. Got a conference call with local manager and an apology letter) and then the Big/Tall man's shop is going out of business after 25 years in the mall here, so have sale prices on the little remaining AND 50% off that.

Wife has a Penny's gift card burning a hole in her purse, so we will eat and then shop together for the evening. Is ER new tonight? Will have to put in a tape . . .

Not sure I understand the heat pump question. I used to work in heating/ac in Alabama. I never liked the heat pump idea. As long as the temp outside is above about 25 degrees it does a decent job. If below that your auxillary heat strips (read expensive to run) should kick in and the temperature of the air coming our of your vents should be noticeably warmer than normal. If not, you probably have a problem that needs to be looked into, maybe as minor as the t-stat for the heating strips.

Of course that heat pump technology almost 15 years ago [IMG] .

    Good morning all:

It is 7ºF here this morning. I have ice on the INSIDE of my sunporch windows! The high will be 18º with more snow...

I have four days off from the 'corner', but still have to get out this morning to pick other grandson (Seth) up and take him to his orthodontist appointment.

It's going to be fun throwing papers today. NOT! Brent will have to wear his snow pants to keep warm!

    Cruising,

    We are AFLOAT in Indiana.
Most roads are closed due to flooding.
We've had more than our fair share of rain.

Today the temps plummet and it'll freeze, so all the roadways that flooded will become pools of ice.
Won't the drive to work be interesting?

Praying for all here who have lost their homes and for those who have been forced to leave them.

Wet, wet and more wet. Suppose to get much cooler. It can't get much cooler than 75, we'll freeze.

Today is my direct salesman's last day. He's only been here for a year, but I count him a close friend. Maybe it's because he is old enough to be my father and treats me like one of kids.

I'm taking him out to eat, as in the last meal. I told my boss it will be an all day event and don't expect much work out of me today. He said, "Oh, it will be just like any other day."

    Good morning MP.

Is Fortville anywhere close to Merriville? My oldest daughter and family live there and she will be driving to work this morning also...

The rain arrived here in full force. It is raining buckets! Flash flood warnings - and folks who have trouble with their basements will surely have flooding. Praise God it's not snow, and that I live where the drainage is good.

Well, it is cold here 19 degrees and our heat pump is working warmly! House is toasty warm.

We haven't had any moisture with this recent cold front.

I'm going to run some errands this morning. First time I have been out of the house in over a week and first time I have driven the car in nearly a month. I hope I still know how to drive. (No comments, please [IMG] )

Hope everyone has a great day and stays warm and dry!

Well it's cold and snowing here today. It was coming down pretty good this morning. Schools are closed. We'll be doing alot of shoveling tomorrow. Just stay in today and keep busy. The trees out back look so beautiful. It's that wet heavy snow that bends the branches down. It really is pretty. But I still can't wait for spring.

I feel for all of you suffering from the bad weather.

The weather is fine here but Bitsy started running a fever during the night. Her stomach pains are worse too. And her doctor is off today. Pray that this is NOT appendicitis and that another doctor in the practice will call back SOON!

I've been up since 3 this morning so I am going to try to sleep a little while I wait.

Morning all! It's 43° here at lunch time but the wind is AWFUL! Strong and cold! Nick and I went to get my hair frosted and I didn't realize just how cold it was. I just wore a sweatshirt and turtleneck and running through that parking lot... YIKES!

All I HAVE to do today is take some checks to the bank. I have no kids except our Nick. He's doing his schoolwork after lunch today since we went out this morning.

I'm so sorry to hear of all the flooding, deaths, tornados and frigid temps. Hope everyone stays safe!

This morning it was -14F here in the Twin Cities, with a windchill of -30F to -35F. Northern Minnesota had more like -30F for actual temps., with -50F windchill.

Going to work, had on the Sorel boots & the heavy Arctic parka. It's supposed to be colder yet both tomorrow morning & Sunday morning.

It has fallen down to 60 here. The President is in Jacksonville today and I didn't even get an invite. What's up with that?
