I want a large cappuccino with a jelly filled donut with absolutely NO carbs!!! Thanks.

Hope everyone is having a good day. Not much going on around here today. Its not really cold, but it is overcast and cool.

I just got finished making some gumbo for church tomorrow. We are having a soup lunch, and my low carb gumbo is gonna be a hit! I am "sampling" another bowl right now. It is full of shrimp, crab meat, sausage, turkey, and snow crabs. Yummmm.

Tomorrow night we are having Annette Herndon, gospel recording artist, in our worship service. Anyone ever heard of her?

The girls are settled in watching Hermie, and making crafts. The room is a wreck, but they are having fun. [IMG]

    Well, I'll check yall later!

[IMG] Wow, I get to be on page ONE!
I know when I get back I will be on page 5.... ;)

    So, how are you all?
We are having spring weather. But we have no snow pack in the mountains for our summer water.

I will just help myself and settle in the recliner....

The temp has been ever so slowly rising all day today. It's now 45, and it has been raining all day.

Diane, does Jim just stand at the top of the drive and throw the calcium down? If it was icy, I don't think I'd pick a driveway as steep as yours to turn around in.

He does, Gayla. He'll scatter it as far as he can and then walk down in the grass on the sides to do the rest. I think the fella saw our driveway had no ice .......

It's still below freezing here and there's a 60% chance of more ice and snow over night. I'm glad they cancelled Sunday School because we would have had to try and make it out if not. I've only seen the fella's car and a bigger truck today on our road.

After Jim disturbing me so much las night, I'm really sleepy. Hope I can find something on to watch in bed. Yawn......

I just checked the TV guide and the only thing I saw interesting was reruns of Law and Order and Cold Case Files - neither of which I let Brent watch.

I guess we'll just watch the Animal Planet until we go to bed (which is going to be soon).

I'm not sure what the roads are going to be like at 4:00 in the morning when I have to get out.

    Pleasant dreams all:

We're watching Munchies Unwrapped on the Food Network. Even Bitsy likes to watch that.

Walmart had some seedless watermelons in from Texas today. They look nice and smell heavenly but taste green(eew). The guinea pigs are going wild over it and the stems from the brocoli we had for supper. They prefer the green rind.

Its a nice 50 degrees here. Just had my nightly spoon of peanut butter and am ready to go curl up with a book. Ahhhh. I am reading some historical fiction about the Alamo. OOOOH, Santa Anna was baaaaad.

My youngest daughter has been busy sleepwalking tonight, so I think I'll go lay beside her. She usually gets up 3 or 4 times a night (before I go to bed), so maybe I can stop her before she leaves the bed.

Oh, the gunbo is delicious. Had it for lunch and supper, and will again tomorrow! [IMG]
    Good night all!

On Thursday or Friday - can't remember which (sign of old age) - it was -16 when I went to work at 7:00 AM! It was 31 when I went home at 3:00 PM - a swing of 47 degrees. It certainly felt warm - or at least warmer - when I went home!

I'm ready for spring - it'll be here in 49 days!

Sue - do you have any great tasting - no carb - chocolate - in the cupboard?

    Dan

Morning all! Wow, Viv and I were busy yesterday. We got the spare bedroom partially set up, the queen sized hide-a-bed sofa and love seat in and situated, and then the big, heavy entertainment center in and set up with the TV & VCR! Praise the Lord my back didn't go out until then! I'm moving VERY slowly today, and I'm in a lot of pain. Guess I'll be stuck on the heating pad today. Viv said my back is bruised on the left side down low into my hip. I hit the door frame pretty hard when moving in the entertainment center. It was on appliance dollies (the flat on the floor kind people use for piano's), and it started to slide off and pushed me against the frame. I iced it down last night, now it's time for heat!

We're going to listen to a tape of my former pastor preaching and possibly, if I can move, go to visit a church just up on the next road.

Still cold here, but is looking like it will shape up to be a beautiful day. :)

    Have a great day, everyone!

    Tony & Viv

    Good morning Tony;

I'm sorry to hear about your back. I spent four days with the heating pad LAST week.

I can never move furniture without ending up with stitches, back strain, and/or serious bruising.

Hey, no one around here will let me do any bending or lifting, not here, not at church, not at work, nowhere. Boy, I miss all the physical labor  . All I can do is supervise. It's a tough job, but somebody's got do it.

Cheryl and Taylor are helping me clear out a workshop. We spent a few hours out there yesterday. It's gonna be a great place to hang out, if your'e a man and all.
