Ah! That's what I want! Slimline. We have 3 computers. Jim's laptop drives me crazy. I've had to use it a few times. I can't get used to the mouse pad thingy. We have his other computer downstairs and I've used it during tornado warnings or when the kids wanted to play downstairs and I had to be near by. Then there's mine. It's on about 18 hours a day whether I'm here or not.

There's not much on t.v. tonight. I do like NCIS but it was pretty graphic so had to turn it when Nick came in the room. Guts make him sick.

Going to take that cold medicine and head to bed. 5:30 comes WAY too early to suit me!

That was a good episode. They threw a swerve and I followed it.

OK, my monitor must be a slimline, then and that is what the one at Walmart has. Yes, our flat screen TV still has the tube protruding at the back.

    Good morning all;

I slept VERY well last night. I don't remember waking up even one time! PTL!

I am still coughing, but it is sporadic and my head is still stuffed up, but it looks like I'm getting cleared up slowly but surely.

Going to be without a computer for awhile, but not sure if it is today or not. After Glen (the computer man) fixes my other computer and gets it all cleaned up for Brent, he is going to take this one back to the shop and transfer all my files. That in itself is a blessing!

I am going to fix a pot of ham and beans for supper. They can cook all day without me doing too much. I will supervise and Brent will make the cornbread.

Anyone have Windows XP? I can't figure out how to delete the "Windows Messenger" that I will never use...

    Cruising,
    §ue [IMG]

My husband and daughter watched NCIS last night while I was working at the computer. They were laughing and howling all through it. So I guess it was a good one.

    Morning all:

It's cooler here today, but sunny! [IMG] I'm glad the sun is out. I always feel so much more alive when it is shining.

Sue, I have XP on my computer. Go to start, then to search, then to all files and folders. Enter Messenger. It should show up in the search window. Then all you have to do is delete it from there. At least that is the way mine is set up. Or, you could go to start, my computer, then to add or remove programs on the left hand side in the first window. Hope that helps.

Whatever you do, don't press that big red button that says, "DELETE."

I have Windows XP Sue but my messenger only pops up once in a while when I've gone into standby for a long period. This standby mode loaded itself somehow and I cannot find where to stop it! It started when we got DSL.

Thanks Tony. I did that, but all that came up was my Yahoo messenger. :(

Does the spell checker in your Outlook Express work? Mine doesn't...

My spell checker doesn't work in Outlook Express. I quit using Outlook last year after several virus attacks and went to using Mozilla Firebird as my browser instead of IE or Netscape. I also went to Mozilla Thunderbird as my email client to stop junk mail and to have a little more in email virus protection.

Sue, maybe you should just type in MSN Messenger in your search, or Microsoft. It should be listed under one of those two.

Boy Howdy and a good Wednesday morning to all you. It is 30F, climbing to 50F and bright blue skies with sunshine galore.

(Interpreting for those of you living in Southern California, this means NO RAIN!)

Sue, I just did a search on my computer. The file is listed as "msnmsgr".

Diane: This is a little icon of 2 people on the right side of my task bar. I have no clue what it's even for!

That's strange. I wonder if it was stored under some other file name? You might have to open it to get the file name.

Yep! LOL...That pesky little Icon. I use MSN messenger. Got tired of all of the extra advertising I was getting from Yahoo when we had Yahoo Messenger. Besides, it was always too easy for my sister-in-law to find us! LOL

I like Yahoo and AIM because I can log on there as 'invisible' and no one knows I'm there unless I want them to... ;)
