Cindi, we're seeing a strange occurence of a number of children with Juvenile R/A here. A front page story in our little weekly paper talked about a 2 year old and a 5 year old. Julia's daughter has it (KeeperatHome), too. That's what the rheumatolgist might be looking for. Sure pray it's just a strained neck!

Hope your back gets better quick! That's how this 'flu bug' is starting with major back aches.

Can I quote you on that, Sue? Never mind I just did. [IMG]
</font>[/QUOTE]Leave it to YOU, padre, to catch that! [IMG]

You have no idea what all that cat got into today. Dented my new lamp shade, chewed the phone cord in half, laid on a $45.00 arrangement of silk flowers and crushed them irreparably, knocked my living shamrock plant off the window sill and bit the ends off of my aloe plant.

He may be looking for a new home if he doesn't stay out of trouble while I'm on Prednisone and I have 20 more pills to take.

All cats (Kittens) are like this for a while, Sue. Patches pulled a 'garbage' tie off the cords to my computer speakers and ATE it! That was when we first got her and she hasn't died from it yet! Hope it's outta there!

Have you gotten him any toys? Patches had a pink mouse she loved but we've lost it. Jim got her some sponge type balls and she 'kills' them several times a day (and night). We've actually found if Nick plays with her and her ball for a while twice a day that she doesn't act crazy on her own. [IMG] Patches doesn't seem to care for catnip. I thought all cats loved it!

Jim's in bed resting but sure seems to feel MUCH better! That's such a relief. I'm so glad he went back to the doctor. I'm pretty upset with the VA E.R. saying he just had a cold!

OREO isn't usually that bad, but we didn't have much time to play with him today. I guess he got miffed.

He has plenty of toys and a favorite stuffed cow that he 'kills' everyday. Brent plays with him several times a day to forestall his 'wild' time of the evening (usually right at bedtime)!

He doesn't like catnip either. Maybe he's not old enough yet. He sure has a lot of energy! I still think his dad was a squirrel!

Brent bought a DVD of "The Incredibles" with his paper route money, when we went to the Mall Tuesday, and we are going to watch that and MONK (if I can stay awake long enough).

I will pray for all of us 'sicklies' tonight.

    Pleasant dreams all!

Well that answers that question! LOL I'm wanting one of those long feathers for Patches. She's very playful but hasn't bothered lamp shades or plants. She was on our bed the other night trying to figure out how to jump on the ceiling fan. You could tell exactly what she was thinking.... EEK! Nothing close by tho and it's a vaulted ceiling so quite high.

Forgive the double post but I've decided to head to bed. I have to get up at 1:00 a.m. to give Jim his medicine and I've not slept well at all for the last few nights with him being so very sick. Think I'll go crawl in bed with Jim and watch the Gaither Video he has on.

Praying for all who are ill and will 'see' you tomorrow.

More like Methodists. You can sprinkle a cat and they'll fuss for a bit but before you know it they're right back to it like nothing happened. No matter how hard you try you just can't dunk one unless its inside a burlap sack.

Boy Howdy, all. Sorry I've been swamped (and NOT putting out the fire from my birthday cake) with grandkids here, church stuff, camp meeting, 3 weddings and all the counseling. Ugh.

Here late tonight and will not be back until late Saturday. Then a full Sunday.

Good morning all: (Miss you Dr. Bob!)

Had a restless night, but that is to be expected when taking Prednisone. It is 43º, here this morning, with an expected high of 46º. It rained most of the night.

Brent and I are trying to bring some of the smaller things back into the living room. Hubby is working 10-hour days, Monday thru Friday, and 5 hours on Saturday. He stays tired much of the time.

    Cruising,

    Good morning everyone:

The coffee is brewing in the kitchen, and the sun has been up for almost 30 minutes here. Hope all are feeling a bit better today. I had to use my inhaler off and on all day yesterday to breath. Looks like more of the same today. Not my idea of fun.

Well, I hear Vivian up and about in the kitchen, so the coffee must be done! I'll be back later. Ya'll have a great day!

(Dr. Bob...we INDEED missed you, friend!)

Yep, working stinks! Especially on a bright and sunny Saturday morning! Had to come in today for the annual "Disaster Recovery" drill. We pretend that half of the computers have been blown off the face of the earth, and then see if we can get the business up and running like normal with the other half. Fun! (not). But so far it has gone well. I'm waiting for other departments to check in. Trying to plan a Sunday School lesson in the down time, so it's not a total loss [IMG] .

Morning all, Jim is doing fine but had a bit of trouble sleeping after I woke him for his medicine at 1:00 a.m. The medicine is breaking up the stuff in his lungs SO well that he kept having to sit up. He's already bugging me today so I KNOW he's feeling better. "Let me finish my tea and I'll make the bed, Jim!"

Cats are just like Baptists. You KNOW they did it but you just can't seem to catch them at it!

Ever see a Baptist in a liquor store? And just what were YOU doing there???? [IMG] [IMG]

Wow! This place is dead! Y'all have me talking to myself.

We've got to drive over to Marietta and pick up Jim's work car so he can go to work next week without leaving me without a car. It had been in the shop when he got so sick. PRAY for me! I don't DO traffic well. [IMG] I'll have to drive my car home. I'll be fine once I'm back on I-20 but stop and go, bumper to bumper makes me a tad nervous.

I was in a liquor store, once a month, buying my dad a bottle of prescription whiskey, of which he got one shot a night (in the nursing home).

He had been an alcoholic all of his life, and at 85 years of age, the doctor said it would kill him to take it away from him.

How many Baptists, that saw me, would believe THAT?????

Glad Jim is feeling better. I don't think I am, but the Prednisone has me so hyper that I have been working since 6:00a.m. anyway...

    I'm still here!
Just bored waiting for other people to do their thing.
Thinking about tomorrow, and wondering how many kids there will be.

Boy, I'm glad we're all reasonably healthy here!!!
Carl's new job is probably the most strenuous physical work he's ever had, and he's worn out! they've been working 10 hrs M-F 8 hrs today and tomorrow. He came home after 4 1/2 hrs today, about to fall over in his tracks. (Sleep Apnea is a wonderful thing, NOT!!!!!!!!!!!) He's sleeping now.

Dr. Bob, did the new wrap for your feet work? I've been wondering about that. That Phantom Pain thing is real, I have it in the mastectomy area, though not bad and not often (PTL!!). Kinda weird that something that's not there can actually hurt.

Yep, Jim's feeling much better except for the ugly after taste the decongestant leaves in his mouth. He says it's like 'burnt popcorn'. I got some hard candy for him.

We went and picked up his car and talked to his boss a few minutes. Some of the people Jim had called on previously in the week had called back and bought the service so he made money even while out sick. ALL the salesmen except one are sick! I'm just glad that medicine (Avelox) has worked so very well!

    Hey ya'll!

I finally decided to show up today! My back is much better as long as I don't try to bend over. T and I have been out running around this morning, but we're in for the day now.

I'm glad Jim is feeling better, Diane. Not even sick kids are as bad as sick husbands! Avelox worked really well for me once upon a time until I started itching. I'm nicely allergic to it. By the time the allergy hit me though, it had broken up whatever was wrong with me.

Thanks for the tip on RA, I'll do some research into it later. Precious is still about the same today, although I've been encouraging her to try to move around a little more. Laying around like she is doing can't be helping her. Next week is spring break, but after that she'll have to go to school well or not. We've only gotten away with missing the last week and a half because we were between nine weeks and there hasn't been as much work to keep up with.

Sue, our last cat would streak down the stairs, make a u-turn, speed through the dining room and kitchen and down the back hall to the corner of the laundry area, where the wall paper is bamboo, and climb nearly to the top of the ten foot ceiling. Then she would cling to the wall and meow for me to come get her because she never could figure out how to get back down. [IMG]
