Lovely picture, Barnabas! What a serene view too!

Sue, it's the grass pollen that gets to me. I've never had allergies until the last few years and grass seems to be the worst. I just broke down and took some Sudaphed (generic). You can still get it at Dollar General here in the original form. I think I'm going to go ahead and take some aspirin now before I get a full blown headache. I can sure feel the sinus pressure!

Jim caught the salamader that had gotten into our home, at the head of our bed on MY SIDE, in a sticky trap for bugs. Patches is quite upset that we wouldn't let her have it as a toy. She's sitting by the trash can SCREAMING. LOL She'd gotten a taste of his tail a few nights ago before he escaped from her behind a piece of furniture.

Cindi, I sure hope those aren't termites but the good news is if they ARE, Cook's Pest Control will pay for 100% of any repairs and decorating costs. [IMG] [IMG]

Now that's much better! ;) So now, your headache is gone and the Aspirin did it?! Good to remember, if all else fails, "take two Aspirins and call the doctor in the morning." [IMG]

Thank you someonespecial! By the way, whoever told you that you are not special? You are not only special, you are precious in the eyes of God - and who are we to argue with Him?! [IMG]

I can't argue with you on that Diane. Lenke and I often sit on the porch, soaking up some well needed Vitamin D (the Sun) and just look at the open view - God's perfect creation. It is just as serene in the middle of winter, when the lake is frozen and there is at least 2' of snow covering the terrain. [IMG]

Diane, I'm going to be surprised if what I had yesterday was termites. Even more surprised if they actually came from the house.

When the developers built this neighborhood twenty years ago, they buried alot of the trees and debris instead of carting it off(this we found out after we moved in). It's not uncomman to see termites swarming seemingly out of no where. Usually though, the swarms happen directly after a rain while the air is still warm, usually in late March or early April.

We have had termite swarms in the house, so I pretty much know what one looks like(ant swarms look different) and I didn't see that yesterday. I can't find the bugs I saved yesterday to compare to the link, they're here somewhere. What concerns me mostly is that I had a lot of mating pairs on the end of my house, up very high. It's possible though that the wind blew them into the house from the neighbors yard. We had a pretty good breeze blowing yesterday. I really can't say that there were more bugs in my yard than there were in the neighbors on the far side of the house. I really only know that one end of my house had a significant amount of bugs while the rest of the house didn't.

We've had sentricon for about 3 years now. Took nearly two years before our traps were clear and during that time we had termites in every trap around the house. We've been on the 90 day cycle for a while now, so I kinda doubt there are termites all the way up in the peak of the house.

There is a possibility that the original batch wasn't completely wiped out and are swarming again. But they were all the way on the other end of the LR and originally swarmed out on the other side of the wall in the DR. We never truely found out where that nest was entering the house. We suspected however that the old sunroom was allowing moisture to be retained somewhere that wasn't obvious so that the little critters didn't have to go back to the ground for it. This would make it two years since that group swarmed.

It is probably flying ants. They are swarming like crazy right now and they look almost like termites.

Well I just cannot get over how sleepy/ tired I am early now and drained on the weekend. I'm guessing it's taking care of the baby. He's turning 1 tomorrow. We also truly start 3 days a week on Monday. This past week was 14 hour days or more.

We're going to first service tomorrow and then I'll have to go back to a luncheon for VBS workers after 2nd service. There's not enough time in the week anymore! I'm really dreading the summer with the two extra brothers. They both have an attitude but I've had one in S/S (when they come) and will just have to start off strict.

I am going to bed and read a book.

I still have a headache, but it is much better than it was. It must be the pollen because I'm having trouble breathing too.

    Pleasant dreams all!

NO! NO! NO! You got it all wrong, Diane!! Jim doesn't work "from" the house---he works either "around" the house or "on" the house---saying he worked "from" the house is like saying he started at the front door and just worked his way "away" from there toward somethin'!!

Besides---MEN work either "on" the house or "around" the house---but never "from" the house!! That's just bad, bad Redneck philosophy!!!

    Sleepy heads!

I'm still up! I've been up since 5:30 this morning.

I need to go to bed, but everytime I think about it I come across another interesting thread on the BB to read and reply to.

Got so involved that a sudden clap of thunder made me jump half out of my chair. [IMG]

    Good morning all:

46º here and cloudy this morning heading for a high of 59º today and a low of 39º tonight!!! And, of course, the ever-present wind makes it feel colder...

    Off to do papers,

Funny you should say that, Sue!!!----Chief Meteorologist Blackbird predicts the same thing for your area of the country----but over where I live----it'll be sunny and warm---highs reaching into the 80's in some areas----patchy fog as you head off to church---but the fog should burn off long before the Pastor's "fog" does!!!

Boy, it's rained most of the day here. We had 13 kids in our 4 year old S/S class. That's really low for us but there were only 3 in the 5 year old class! Guess the heavy rain kept them all in bed.

We went to first service and Nick and I really enjoyed it. I showed him how to follow the music to the hymns in the hymnal and service, even tho it lasts less time, wasn't rushed. We didn't have the 8 or so choruses but had some great special music.

I'm so sleepy again! I work at 1:30 a.m. as if I'd napped and couldn't get back to sleep for hours. I had a very hard time getting up and out but we were not late for 8:30 service. [IMG]

Hey, we still need at least 15 teachers for VBS! Only a month to go!

I guess Diane, ya'll got the rain that we got last night.

VBS workers are a problem for us also. I wasn't going to work this year, but the girl I usually work with wanted me to help her again this year, now her family situation has changed and she isn't going to be able to help! Ack, I may have to do it by myself!
