    Good Morning all:

Sue, glad you had a good day yesterday.

Gayla, that is great news. I'm still praying for you. [IMG]

Yesterday was a hard day for us at church. Attendance was down, but that was because of some of our people working on the Katrina relief efforts, and some were out of town with family. But, it was a good service. The three preachers in the church and their wives met yesterday morning before service to try and set up a method for us to receive members. We got a basic set of 3 acceptable ways, but, there were questions on the part of some of the people, which is a good thing. We want to do this right this time, and not be like the former church. There were some slight disagreements, but nothing that the church cannot/will not handle. We are meeting again on Friday evening at 6:30 to discuss further and vote on the guidelines. I think they'll be hashed out pretty reasonably and prayerfully on Friday, Lord willing.

Though it was a hard Sunday, it was a great Sunday. Just because a day was rough doesn't mean that God wasn't in it. Sometimes God will put some obstacles in our paths to make us look not only to Him, but to study further the situation and see the possibilities. He is a wonderful Saviour and Lord!

It is quite cool here this morning, and quite foggy. The temp is 60 and falling, and the humidity is 100%. We almost snagged us a wild turkey with the car yesterday, and three deer, too. They were only about 500 ft from each other. There is a lot of wildlife out here! [IMG]

Hope all of you have an excellent day. I have a very important doctors appointment this evening at 5:30pm. I've been putting it off, but cannot put it off any longer. Please pray for this consistant pain in my back, hips and legs. The more hurt, the more stress...the more stress, the more it affects not only my diabetes, but my vertigo attacks/meniere's disease. Vicious cycle, but I'm not complaining. God has his reasons.

Be good, be kind, be careful,

    T

    Good morning all:

Tony, will be praying. Dale has a doctor's appointment at 4:30 today and he's not looking forward to that one either...

It was a short night. It stormed and the hard rain kept waking me up. It is supposed to rain and storm most of the day, including possible large hail and strong winds. (Just the kind of day I like to work at the corner)

The seatbelt stuck again going to church last night so I don't know what I'm going to do now. They won't fix it without me paying more labor charges and I don't think I should have to, since they didn't fix it right to begin with!

I got up late, so I have to run.

    Be back later,

    Good morning...
Was up extra early preparing for repairmen and then they called and said won't be here til tomorrow.
Gayla: Praise the Lord. Good news. AVL1984: glad things are going better now, it sounds. Sue: Please send some of your rain this way. We really need it. Don't know yet if we will get any from Rita or not.

LOL Gayla, kids can be most practical!

Must be appointment day, cause Bitsy has a dentist appointment this pm.(like I haven't sat in enough waiting rooms this month  ) I'll be praying for all of you that your needs will be met.

Sue you need some Frog Togs for days like this. http://www.frogtogs.com/ or http://www.qwks.com/froggtoggs.html

I'm thinking about getting T a set for Christmas. He's been wanting one for a while.

Pamela it never fails that I plan for the repairman on one day and he ends up coming another. The only one who comes when planned is the airconditioner guy, but that is because I use an independent guy. If I went through a company there's no telling how long we'd be hot!

I actually get to pick and choose what I do today! It's been a while since I could do that. The only thing I really have to do is battle Precious' principal over her abscences again. That should be lots of fun. For the rest, I have some bits of sewing to finish up and a pool that needs vacuuming and some critters who's cages need cleaning and none of it HAS to be done today! The house got cleaned over the weekend and actually stayed that way longer than an hour! I even bought groceries, so I won't have to see the inside of Walmart till at least Thursday or Friday(longer if I make 'em suffer and drink tea and kool aid ;) )

    Ya'll have a good day!!!!

MK: I have one of those long yellow raincoats with a hood. The only problem is, when it's hot, I smother! I just use my umbrella if the wing isn't too bad.

    PRAISE REPORT!

I took my car back to the garage this morning (and believe me I have been praying for it a LOT).

I kept insisting the track was good because it wasn't just getting stuck in one place, but three different places.

The mechanic looked at it and the 'switch' they had installed last week was malfunctioning. They ordered a new switch today. It will be here tomorrow morning.

I will go back out, with the car then, and it will be fixed AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO ME!

    Woo Hoo! PTL!

ok, after they called this morning to cancel the repair work for the wood rot, they showed up at my door. Then they noticed a set of my double doors rusting through (which it is) that the first guy hadn't noticed for the estimate, and the way a couple of the other wood frames are set up, they'll have to replace those doors as well. They called the first guy out here (manager) and they are working very well with me to keep the cost down, for which I am thankful. Have to run...think they are back from lunch.
