Praying for your pain to be eased, Tony. Please check in when you can.

    Good morning all:

It is a cool 48 this morning. My windows are all closed, but I refuse to turn the furnace on yet! It gets up in the 70's in the daytime.

I am fixing a big breakfast this morning. It's a busy day for the 'boys'. Dale is going to haul trash (shingles, left-over fence, etc.) 30 miles to a landfill, Bobby will be hauling furniture to his new apartment (40 miles away), and Brent is going to vacuum the inside of my car and the trunk.

Coffee and tea are hot - help yourself.

    Good morning all!

Oh my Tony, I will certainly be praying for you!

I'm not fixing breakfast, they'll have to eat cereal. We have a karate clinic this morning and then the elementary school's fund raisins festival is after that. It is going to be an extremely busy morning and afternoon.

Padre, since I can't bake, I brought some of Walmart's new trail mix varietys for your enjoyment. We have the Asian mix, the Cajun mix, the Orchard mix and the Indulgent mix(diabetics stay away from the last two!). I haven't had a chance t try them myself but they all look very interesting(especially the indulgent mix which seems to be mostly chocolate [IMG] )

Sue, you think Brent would want to vacuum my car too? :D )

Good afternoon, everyone. Tony, we pray that by this time, the pain has eased and you are "all" better.

Sue, you should be able to relax now that you have all the men in your family working.

    MK, thanks for the snacks.

Hopefully, it is going to be a lazy day here.

    Catch you all later.

MK: Brent would be happy to vacuum your car if you pay his way to AL and back. He loves to bake too! :D

Thankful: I did relax today, as much as is possible with a splitting headache...

We're going to watch movies on the Hallmark Channel this evening and then take showers (it's Saturday night).

I sure hope I can make it to church tomorrow. I miss the fellowship when I'm unable to go because of illness.

    Have a great evening everyone!

Well, I'm watching a movie, folding clothes and waiting for the OU game to start.

Praying that we all feel well so we can go to church to worship tomorrow.

There were football games on today?????

    Missed them all!

I do not feel like going to church tomorrow! I have overdone it today and am aching all over. Unfortunately(or maybe fortunately), Precious invited a friend to go with us. This girl is totally unchurched and it is rare that her mother agrees to let her attend. So I will drag up in the morning and at least make it to SS(kinder and gentler than a long preaching service for someone who never attends church).

There is a story behind this family's not going to church. I don't know exactly what it is and Precious is keeping the confidence of her friend although she has hinted at it. Anyway this family is in great need of prayer and probably a better example than I am. But since I seem to be the only one at the moment, I'm trying to let the Lord lead. It seems like such a little thing to go to church achy when compared to bringing a good example to and unsaved family.

I believe I'm headed to bed, if I can get in! Both Son and Bitsy have sacked out on my bed. Maybe I can crawl in between them....(T can run them out when he comes to bed. :D [IMG] )

Tony, praying your pain disappears soon.
The headaches and stomach bugs have hit us between last night and today but hopefully we are on the mend and able to make church tomorrow.

    Good morning all:

I had a short night's sleep, but a fairly good one.

I'm looking forward to going to church today. It is 59 right now and we're expecting a high of 83 and rain today.

    Off to check other forums,

I woke up wondering if this Sunday started daylight saving time. I haven't had to worry about it for a year, living in Indiana. But it's the last Sunday in Oct., not the first. Had to check the internet to make sure. Something to look forward to....Fall Back!!!
Supposed to be hot today but lower humidity, like yesterday. Easier to tolerate walking outside. Looking forward to getting out to church.

LOL. Our weather man had us all excited saying we were going to get a cold front through and temps would go down. We even had hope when the front came through as the temp did go down! The low that night was about 62. The high the next day....up in the 80's. Cool weather didn't last long!

Good morning everyone! I could hope for a calmer day, but I know it's not going to happen. I'm just going to get moving a keep moving today and hope I can get everything done. Isn't Sunday supposed to be a day of rest???? [IMG]

I hope everyone is feeling better this morning.

    Enjoy your day!

    Good day!

I thought Mr. Bush extended your daylight savings for this year..better check the date again. I know our clocks go back Oct 30th.

Cool evening, but warming up during the day and is supposed to reach 30c by midweek.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Afternoon all:

Our clocks go back on October 30th also, but I always set mine back on the 29th before I go to bed...

Good sermon this morning about how Phillip would not believe until he could see and he was blessed, but how much more blessed are those that believe without seeing.

This is Pastor Appreciation month. Don't forget to let your Pastor know you appreciate him...

    Have a relaxing afternoon,
§ue (going to take a nap)

Good to see you around Bro. Jim! Thanks for the info on Daylight Saving Time. The chart comes handy. I already printed out for myself for future reference. Trust you had a great day in the house of the Lord. [IMG]

    Good afternoon All.

We are praising the Lord that the bombing at the Oklahoma University did not cause very much damage or panic. We believe that it has been determined that a person wanted to commit and did commit suicide. (We are praying for that person's family)

84,000 people were "locked" in the stadium for a while, but all levels of Oklahoma law enforcement quickly took charge.

We are also grateful that it didn't happen while students were attending classes.

I'm going to check about Daylight Saving Time, but I think it starts here on October 30.

We had a great day in the house of the Lord!

    Hello Brother Barnabas,

I am well, thank you, and services are going well. It will take some time, but we are seeing some progress. Evening Prayers is not unlike a Baptist evening service, except we have typical Anglican prayers as well.

The young vicar we have is from Kentucky, but we'll break him in. His wife is Canadian. This church has never had Evening Prayer Service and those who come are quite enjoying it. Attendance may drop off when regular telly programming begins.

Now, how are you and wife settling in to new place? Last chat we had your wife was ill. I trust all has worked out now.

    Cheers, mate, and God bless,

    Jim

WOW Thankful! That is terrible. I didn't have the TV on today so I heard nothing about the bombing.

Well, I'm heading for bed and (I hope) a restful night's sleep.

I still haven't gotten the porch put back together after the roofing job and Pastor Bob is coming up Friday and Saturday to preach at our Youth Conference.

I also have some cleaning to do in the bedroom Bobby was occupying until today.

It will sure be different to be able to get up and do my work without having to stop and go to 'the corner'.

    Pleasant dreams all!

There was a thread in the News, Current Events, but some reason it is gone. The FBI are still investigating and evacuated today two apartment complexes including where the person lived. They think that there is no danger, but the bomb squads are still in the area. We went to church tonight but avoided that part of town. I think I will just stay at home tomorrow.

The good news is that the Sooners won their first conference game.

    Good Night, All

(Please check in Tony or Viv!)

    Good morning all:

It was a short night. I ended up going to bed at midnight and was back up at 4:30...

It is muggy here this morning and going to be in the high 90's today.

I will be working inside with all the fans running!

    HAGD!
