Gayla, I have peppermint potpourri. Do you think that will work? I'll scatter it everywhere. [IMG] It smells wonderful.

There was a different young man that came today to spray for bugs. I didn't think he would be here since there was snow all over the ground, but he kept his appointment. He set more traps for mice and we are using one of those high frequency things that are supposed drive them away.

We have had this pest control company for years and they are so good.

Well, I'm headed for bed. [IMG]

    Good morning all:

It only got down to 7F last night and is supposed to 'warm up' to 13F by this afternoon...

I have real icicles hanging off of my icicle Christmas lights!

We're going out to set up tables, carry things in etc. at the Women's Club this morning. I would like everything to be ready so all I have to do there tomorrow morning is put the food on the serving plates and make the coffee and tea.

I'm not taking the presents out until tomorrow morning. If someone breaks in there tonight and steals the food, we can eat KFC, but I can't replace all the gifts!

I sure hope the roads are clear before we have to drive to the wedding tonight.

    HAGD!

    §ue (another busy, busy day)

As I look out of my window, the snow is gently, but steadily falling all around. I think winter has arrived and is ignoring my sign that says, "official winter" starts Dec 21st! Snowblower will get its second workout of the winter to-day. We already have 6 inches on the ground.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Good Morning, Sue and Jim,

So you have been playing in the snow Jim ;) We missed you!

Sue, I have always worried and usually have a dream that someone comes in and steals the Christmas presents under the tree. I don't think I'll have to worry much this year. I have one present for under the tree so far and I can't put it there because Muffin will want to play with it.

Let see, son got new heating and a/c for his condo. Can't put that under the tree. Muffin's health is our Christmas Present. He won't stay under the tree. I have to mail most of the presents. So I guess I'll just put those fake presents I have wrapped and let them steal those. [IMG]

My son from Florida called to see how I was enjoying the COLD weather. Of course, he told me how they were going to the beach, etc. etc. etc. I notice that Rachel was thankful about her not so warm weather. [IMG]

Oh well, you know we are supposed to be content no matter what STATE we are in.

I was looking at the price of houses and condos where my son lives and decided we are just fine here in Oklahoma. I have never asked how much he paid for his house and business. He would probably just say he got a "great" deal.

I haven't planned my day, yet.

I've been complaining to the company that sent my MIL the wrong gift. Now they say they can't get the proper item there until after Christmas. I would have never ordered it from them if it had been out of stock.

Oh well, I will try to find something good about that. Haven't yet, though.

Hope you all have a great day.

Sue, enjoy your family and I know you will look beautiful at the wedding.

    Take care,

    Betty

Sorry, to double post, but had to report that the company said they could send the Food Processor today if the color Red is okay. RED will be acceptable. So all is well!

    Hi Betty,

Actually, yesterday was a lovely day and it just started snowing in the night. Yesterday I picked up the chains for my tractor so I can use it all winter to haul firewood to the house.

Then, I ordered a special ladder off one of those telly adverts...2 1/2 months ago. I have been on and off the phone dealing with this company in Utah. People promised to ship that week,,,twice, no three times...I was getting quite angry cos I paid up front for a 12 day delivery....Long story, but I finally got a call from an executive of the company, apologizing for the mess and even offered to ship me a few free accessories..worth $100.00. They are also shipping the original ladder I ordered, which someone said they couldn't sell in Canada....and it is being shipped from their Canadian warehouse,,ironic how things progress.....I hate whe things go wrong, but love it when they get corrected.

    Cheers,

    Jim
