    Morning all:

preacher, I used to work for BoJangles years ago as the head biscuit maker. I went between two or three stores and taught the newbies how to make the biscuits. Got my boss a $5,500 a year raise. Did I see any raise or a promotion? NO! :( Oh well, he didn't last long after that, and Vivian and I moved on to better jobs.

It's been a strange night. It was 67 at 9pm last night and it's 33 now. It rained and stormed like crazy here last night and the wind is still blowing in gusts so strong it sounds like it's tearing the house apart!

Viv's still asleep. We actually got to bed by 10:30 last night. First time we've done that on a weekend in I don't know how long. I'm surprised that the barking of the neighbors dogs hasn't awakened her.

I hear sleet on the office window. I hope it's not doing what I think it's doing. We don't need to be stuck here all day! I need to go wake Vivian so we can get to the store asap. Don't need to be iced in here without groceries.

    Good morning all,

Jim: I like your beard! Is that a 'poppy' on your hat?

Tony: We had high winds yesterday and again today.

Well, it was 60º yesterday and is supposed to be 6º tomorrow night.

I have a doctor's appointment today, so Brent and I will go grocery shopping while we're out. Tonight is 'movie night' so we will also be stopping by Family Video. I think we're going to check out "Bambi 2".

    Have a pleasant day all!

Hi Sue, The poppy gives you an idea when that photo was taken...around November 11th. That was a newspaper photo, so it has that papery..not popery....image. Just thought you might like to see the old man as he is to-day..lol

Cheers everyone. We are fighting heavy rain and strong winds. Our electricity already sut down once, but I have the portable power ready...

    Cheers,

    Jim

Jim - how long ago was the picture taken that is used on BB?

We made it to our daughters - safe and sound. It's fun to watch our daughter interact with her two children!

I like it Jim! You remind me of my dad when he was your age. He ALWAYS wore a hat like that and there was always at least one poppy on it!

Time for school and then we will be running errands.

Mornin' to you all...nice photo....The winds are certainly high here in NE Ohio...my swing got tipped over in the yard, and garbage cans everywhere!!!

Dan Todd...I can't wait to be a grandma to watch my kids interact with their children...My oldest dtr. has been married 7 years and we are all still praying for a child for them...I kinda adopted my neighbors baby girl. I enjoy getting her neat little outfits and toys. I don't know if I want to be called grandma, gamma, mawmaw or nanny...oh, someday hopefully I will get to find out.

Welcome to the CH, Kings Kid! We hope you enjoy your visit and come back often.

I have 16 grandchildren and am going to be a greatgrandma in just a few weeks.

I am called Grandma, Gramma, Gram, Grams, MawMaw, Gran, and Granny, depending on which kids come to visit. [IMG]

Hi Dan. Good to see you. Oh, the BB photo was taken about 20 years ago because I was still teaching at the university and had just left a convocation. I was just a youngster then, but I am 79 now.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Hi KNGSKD, I moved out here from NEO not long ago myself, and was GLAD to be far and away from those high winds and tornados and freezing winters! However, it's snowing today here, and it's very beautiful. My kids walked outside and screamed and ran around. LOL They were happy to see it again! Dunno what's wrong with them...

Hope you all have a good day. I'm gonna try to stay awake. [IMG]

Maybe I shouldn't tell Sue that it's 79 here in South Georgia with a forecasted low of 48 then 72 for a high tomorrow.
    What do y'all think?

    Evening All,
Finally get to set down after my Fri. runnin!
Drove home to take Agee to work, then drove back to A'boro to drop off an invoice, then back here to get to the bank to cash my pittily little check, then grabed Sam & figured she hadn't been for a ride in awhile so I took her with me to go get Agee's check, after "Momma" got to see her "baby" I went back to the bank to cash her check, then stopped to get some gas, then back to the house, put Sam back in the building, come inside, got BH & brought her in here....& collasped! I got a squirrel sittin' on my chest stickin' her tongue out at me! Then she propped on my chin for a minute fore' going exploring.
Glad everyone seems to have had a good day. All this weather talk has me wondering what we'll actually wind up with tomorrow. Its still in the 50's rite now but the high tomorrow is supposed to be about 40, with rain/snow/something...
Well gotta get up & go back to the building & hunt a bird cage that Agee called & told me to bring..so much for collasping...for long anyway!
I'll bring BH by later tonite for her shift!

Well...all seems quiet tonite, which might be a good thing. I have to take BH's place tonite. Don't know what's wrong with her but I'm gonna try to get ahold of a rehabber tomorrow. We've been finding small traces of blood in her cage & she'a not in heat, I've learned how to tell that.
Agee said she'd been in her box all day today, & she's not been out much tonite, even with it being pizza nite.(She likes the crust, but wasn't too intrested tonite)
It's proably nothing serious, but when it comes to her, I'm worse than a lot of mommas I know.
Anywho, I'll be housebound tomorrow anyway if the weather does like they say. Guess I'll make it a squirrel doctoring, bill figuring day. Agee has to be at work at 6am but hopefully I can go back to bed for a little while after I run her to work.
Have a good nite, I left the light on over the counter, oh & I even left some Girl Scout Cookies, the Chocolate Mint ones!!

Thanks, Ron. Yes, I am up VERY late for me, but I have a splitting headache that won't let me sleep, plus I had a skin cancer removed from my nose today and it is being bothersome.

I will take you up on that cup of tea and head back to bed.

    Pleasant dreams all!

    Mornin!
Figured I'd stop by & put some week-end coffee on. I just MAY sneak back to bed for awhile. Didn't get nasty here like they called for, guess I won't get to be home bound all day after all.
    Well...have a blessed day!!

Central Oklahoma is an icy mess, still falling
    this morning.

    Back to bed ...

Sympathizing with I Am Blessed 16, I got
4 nose pre-cancers removed from my nose,
now it looks BAD. But that is better than
waiting till the cancer time. Pre-cancer
usually comes off the first time (though
I had one on my jaw he hit on 6 visits
with the liquid nitrogen /freezed skin off/
    before it was gone.)

BTW, check out my picture, I don't have
'bangs'. Fortunately most of the removals
were near my eyebrow, the 4 on the nose
I mentioned, or down the side at the
hair-line. Then there are two on each
arm and one in the middle of my upper back.
