Uh-oh! Sometimes these things happen. :(

I've been munching on carrots a lot lately because when I'm sitting at a desk or at my computer I have a tendency to eat too much candy!

    Good morning all,

It is cooler here this morning at 41º. The weatherman says we're heading for a high of 67º under sunny skies.

Brent is all excited about going to the Monster Truck show this afternoon and I STILL haven't gotten them any earplugs! I guess I will have to run by the lumber yard and pick some up this morning.

I am going read a book and try to take a nap while they're gone. Woo hoo!

    Time for coffee,
    §ue

Morning, everyone! It's a beautiful morning--sunny and warm and the birds are singing their little hearts out! Gonna do a little spiffing up in the yard today, and some last minute shopping for my hubby's business trip to Boulder. He leaves tomorrow at 6 am.

Gina, those Tim Tams sound yummy!

Hope everyone has a good day.

Gina: Would Kit Kat Bars be considered generic Tim Tams???

I bought two pair of earplugs at the lumber yard for the 'boys' ears. Bright orange!

Now if they will just wear them so they don't come home, this evening, deaf!

I am so excited about getting to read my book in peace and quiet and perhaps even take a nap. I just feel giggly all over! [IMG]

It doesn't take much to amuse me.

    Good Morning Everyone!

Yard work is on tap for me this morning as well. Specifically backyard work. It is a mess back there because we ignored it all winter long. And I have a husky to brush out. Poor Ava is blowing her coat and it looks like rags are falling off her. The birds are happy though, husky hair makes for a great bird nest! [IMG]

The kids are going to work inside. Chris already has most of his chores done. He feels good again today. Yay!

    Ya'll have a good day!

    Hi Sheila! [IMG]

I would love to have a piece of Rob's cake if it's not too much trouble. :D

Kilad: On the week-ends, we always have fresh coffee, tea, and a cooler full of cold drinks. Help yourself!

As you can see, I did not get to read my book OR take a nap. Oh well, there's always tomorrow afternoon.

Ha! I didn't get done what I planned to do today either.

Instead I got a lesson in how to clean brakes and change brake pads on my car! :D I now have nice quiet brakes for my educational effort. Course in the process of fixing the brakes we discovered I need two new tires like right now! I'll call the tire shop Monday.

Sue, you been drilling holes in those tree stumps instead of resting?

Kilad, I have a solution to your distraction problem: Send them over to play with the neighbors kids! [IMG] Worked for me!

    Ick MK -- brakes??!!??

It's a rainy Sunday here. Yesterday was gorgeous! The weather for the 8th grade trip was gorgeous. We had a great time with just a few disruptions from the kids.

I should have pictures online tomorrow for sharing.

Today, I went to the 5th grade with Ron and after the lesson, I helped the kids make bracelets for their moms. You should have seen the care they took to make the perfect bracelet.

Yep! Better to do 'em ourselves and spend $30 than let someone else do 'em for $200.

Hehe, I think I'd rather do the brakes than supervise 8th graders at the beach. (coast=beach, right?)

It's been rainy here to today, but I think it's finished because it's lighter out right now and I even caught a glimpse of blue sky earlier.

We've been pretty lazy today. T took the kids to the movies and I laid around and enjoyed the quiet.

Well, you may well have something there MK!

Yes, coast is the beach. NC coasts are different because of the outer banks. We see lighthouses and historical stuff along the coast. We go out to Shackleford banks and look for wild horses. We do spend a bit of time playing in the sand and walking in the water.

I've been lazy today too. Rainy days are absolutely wonderful for the laze factor!

Rainy here in Atlanta, too. I had a day all to myself today. I wasted it by cleaning the house, tho. I should have done something fun.

Bitsy, you are one brave soul, taking a group of 8th graders to the beach! Bless your heart!

    Ya'll have a good evening.
