    Good morning all,

I have been up all night. No use going to bed if I can't sleep.

It was clear when it got light out, but it is VERY foggy right now. I can hardly see the house across the street. We are supposed to have rain every day through next Tuesday.

    HAGD!

Time to fix Brent some breakfast,

Sue - so sorry you are in pain! Praying that tooth will calm down for you! Have you asked your dentist if they will put you on a payment plan? Most around here do...don't know about up there. Depending on what's wrong with the tooth, it can be dangerous to the rest of your body. Hope you can get some rest today!

Sue, the sewer won't be important at all if you get so sick from the tooth it puts you out of commission!

Do you have cloves? They help with pain. You can get them for a buck a bag if you go to the mexican section of the grocery store, as opposed to spending a minimum of five on them in the spice aisle. They usually sell them in plastic bags...garlic power, dried peppers, cinnamon sticks, etc., all for around a dollar a bag. They help somewhat.

I personally use liquid colloidal silver (rinse my mouth out with it) to help with infection. It's less costly than tea tree oil (although the oil is supposably more effective) and the taste is tolerable. I also try to keep it around to rinse off scrapes and minor cuts.

But best...get it out! Go to a free/reduced cost dental clinic if you have to. I've done that before. Of course, It was embarassing, but I was in pain! (parked around the corner and kinda ambled in, hoping nobody saw me) They took pity on me and worked me in. I sat there for three hours waiting to be worked in, but they took me. (maybe it helped that I was crying in pain?)

Ahhh...the adventures of having no extra cash. I've always thought it must be pretty boring to be rich. You just pay for stuff and leave. That's easy. When you're poor, everything is an adventure and a lesson in creativity. [IMG] [IMG]

Gina, you say "when you're poor, everything is an adventure and a lesson in creativity." You are definitely right about that. This "skin of your teeth" stuff stinks!

Now, back to our regular programming! [IMG]

    Evening folks,

I am going to turn in and read for awhile. I did get about four hours of restless sleep from 9:00 this morning until around 1:00 this afternoon. It was enough to keep me going.

It's actually not just one tooth. I only have the front 8 teeth left on the bottom and they all need to come out. Add the extraction cost to the cost of dentures and it is going to be a costly adventure!

My teeth don't hurt as long as I don't eat, drink or breathe...

I will be relocating the CH to a larger facility in the morning.

    Pleasant dreams all!

Poverty is not a monetary status, but rather a state of mind.

The poorest people survived the hardest of times with a smile and self respect. The dirty 30's!

    Cheers,

    Jim

Only if hunger is not a physical state, but a state of mind.

"The poorest people survived the hardest of times with a smile and self respect. The dirty 30's!"

I wasn't born yet! But...I do think that a lot of people who have enough call themselves poor and really mean it, and that's kinda sad. I don't think anyone should say it and really mean it unless they don't have enough, and enough isn't as much as other people, it's enough to survive on without having to degrade yourself.

    That's my opinion.

I'm entitled to change it later if I read this again and decide I'm wrong.

    Morning all:

Jim, Rachel....My grandparents lived through the depression years, and they, though the times were hard, seem to remember most of those years as some of the best times of their lives. I guess it all has to do with attitude, and as Jim says, state of mind.

Not much going on here this morning. It's 55 degrees and sort of misty.

Sue, I know how you feel. I've got several teeth that need to be removed, as does Vivian, and then we'll need partials. The only reason we haven't done it is because of the enormous costs involved, and that's even with the dental insurance. The advantage here on the dentures and partials is that there are denture services that are "discount"...don't know how good they are, but, they seem to do pretty well for themselves. We've considered that option, but have not yet decided.

Well, ya'll...have a great day! See you in the new settings for the CGCH! [IMG]
