The only "RULE" here is NO fussin' - NO fightin' - NO feudin'!

I will try to be here to serve you; but if not, feel free to help yourself.

First one in every morning puts the coffee and tea on, last one out at night turns the lights off...

We serve donuts, cinnamon toast (dry toast available upon request), crumpets, bagels, scones, croissants, brioche rolls, donuts, yogurt, salads, light lunches, popsicles, ice cream, homemade cookies, homemade cakes, homemade pies, and homemade jams.

We also serve coffee (with/without caffeine), hot chocolate, hot tea, iced tea, fresh squeezed lemonade and orange juice, cappuccino, Mountain Dew, DP, DDP, Coke, Pepsi, Diet Sierra Mist, milk, milk shakes, Kool-Aid, and Carb Options.

If you don't see your drink or food of choice...just ask, we will do our best to stock it for you!

Our aim is to please...come and sit a spell, enjoy the fellowship and come back often!

As Christians, we are ALL on common ground...

Sorry for cutting you off, guys. I really didn't do it on purpose. :tear:

I am heading for bed. I'm not usually up this late, but Brent spent the night with his cousins and I got interested in a movie.

I had to break down and turn the central air on today. It was 95º here with lots of sunshine.

    Pleasant dreams all!

Ok, I finally got someone to tell me a story and now it's on the old thread! And I was so happy! If anyone missed it, go back and read Bear's account on the old thread of a Christmas party.

We'll just have to have a new story to make up for this sad lack of a story on the thread.

    Any volunteers? :D

    Good morning all,

It is 72º already this morning with humidity standing at 83º. We are heading for a high of 94º with possible, severe, isolated thunderstorms this afternoon. I guess the A/C stays on again today...

Coffee is fresh and some Earl Gray tea is brewing for Mr. Archie.

    Have a Blessed Lord's Day!

Good morning. Everyone's getting ready for church. We're actually gonna make it this week. LOL Something keeps happening every Saturday to stop us from going Sunday, so I'm gonna feel like a stranger!
The first Saturday someone was sick.
The next one, I was in the ER Sat night for my heart.
The next one, my daughter was there with blood poisoning.

Don't think we got off scot-free yesterday either though. Middle daughter broke her pinky. But...we're going. And we didn't have to go to the ER for that one! WHOO HOO! Our Saturdays are improving, slowly but surely. We've progressed from death threats to broken bones. Dare I assume that by next Saturday, we'll have progressed so far that it'll just be a deep gash for one of us? Eventually, we'll be down to a stubbed toe, and then...should I even say this out loud? Mere scratches!

LOL! I had that happen just the other night! The ceiling light in the living room...it's not a touch one, but you can turn it on by switch, and use a remote control to make it dimmer or brighter. Well, I turned on the switch, and the thing kept going brighter and brighter then dimmer and dimmer, up and down. Turned it off, tried again, same thing. I figured "THAT IS JUST GREAT!"

Turns out the tv remote was on top of the one for the light, right on top of the part that controlled the dimmer part of it. (the other buttons are for the fan settings)

So, perhaps you have something putting pressure on it?

I slept a few hours, now ready to go back. I had thought I was just really worn out from school, and felt better after a bit of the summer break, but today this tiredness and sick feeling is hitting me full force again. I'm calling the doctor tomorrow, on top of the numb face thing it's all flipping me out.
This morning I forgot the Pledge of Allegiance. Not just a temporary brain lapse. It was said in the morning, and I didn't know it. I knew the first line. (I don't say it anymore, but that's another story) Anyhow, I spent all the way home trying to think of what it was. Tried to quit thinking about it later, but spent all day going back and trying to remember it, couldn't get past the first line. Later tonight I remembered the word "republic" was in it. I finally gave up and just looked it up on the internet again. Read it, tried to repeat it in my mind, wasn't happening. I had to sit here and memorize it again. It was just gone.

Not the first time I couldn't remember something, by far, but the first time I lost something so totally engrained like that. Very weird! I hope it doesn't start happening with stuff I want to remember about my kids.

Preacher: I have a touch lamp in my bedroom and it does that when the bulb is about to burn out.

Gina: Aren't you the one who 'made' me go to the doctor? Please go TODAY!

    Good morning all,

It is 75º already at 4:30 AM. It is going to be another hot day, in the 90's with some severe thunderstorms this afternoon.

I need to get the hose out and water my outdoor plants. I've been neglecting them because it was supposed to rain every day, but it's not happened yet and my plants are suffering.

I need some things from the grocery store also, so will be making a quick trip uptown. I will do that this morning before it gets any hotter.

    Time for coffee!

Mornin, yep...already 73 here supposed to be 96 brfore the day is over. Just took Agee to work & will proably lay back down for a couple of hours. Supposed to ride with the fella I'll be replacing to get an idea of what my route will be like. Need to finish the A/C's today too so I can get the junk out of the back yard. I just mowed two days ago & I can tell that the grass has already grown, too bad my hair won't grow like that any more. Actually I keep it buzzed anyway, espically in this heat. Well gonna run, put BH up, & snooze a little longer.

    Morning all:

It's 95 degrees here with a heat index of 106. It's been like this all weekend! We're supposed to get up to 100 today. Vivian and I got out in the garage on Sat morning and fixed the riding mower and I mowed most of the yard. She mowed the rest and did most of the weed-whacking and the little bit of push mowing. By the time I got off of the mower, I was as red as a lobster on my face and neck, the upper part of my arms and even my hands. Viv was too! I'm just now starting to peel a little. Anyhow, we got the lawn done and it looks wonderful! The neighbors lawns are all in need of a mow, and I think that some will do it tomorrow.

Other than that, not much else is going on here in Bell Buckle. We're just waiting to see how long Viv will work today. We've got a Boston butt, and we want to smoke it tonight and make bbq tomorrow.

Tomorrow will be the first anniversary of my mother in laws passing away. It's been hard on Viv yesterday and today. She's talked to both of her sisters this weekend, and she usually only talks to the one. Her younger sister is supposed to be going out tomorrow to put flowers on the grave. My dad's buried not too far from Viv's mom, just a few rows down.

Well, ya'll stay cool..It's a hot one out there!

Sue, hope you're doing better. Gina...take care of yourself, girl!

Hi Tony! I thought you fell in a river or something. You need to stop by more often...

I find out Wednesday when my heart catherization will take place, then I will find out what they need to do to 'fix' me.

Until then, I'm just taking it easy and waiting...

Yep...hot here too! Says 90...but I think its lyin'! Just got back from my ride. It covers a broader area than I thought but that's all right.
Jerry is leavin back out after all, JB Hunt called & had to change his orientation to later in the month so he said he'll go back on the road for a couple of weeks.
Had to turn on both a/c's to help this pitiful central unit out. I came home & it was almost 80 in here. But with Agee pullin a double at least it'll be cool when she gets home.
Check back later, gotta go check the livestock!!

I know it's hot out there. I've seen the sweat drenched techs come in to check-in. I've been inside all day and refuse to go out.

We are thinking about buying a window unit to help our central unit. It has been 77-78 degrees in the late afternoon. Some folks like it that way, but not me.
