    Howdy Everyone!

Been busy as the proverbial bee here today. Finally got enough of the spring cleaning done so that the house looks clean! All that's left is washing walls (just a few cause my kids are finally getting tall enough that they can hold the hand rail going up the stairs and mature enough not to need to touch every wall they pass by!) and cleaning carpets and getting the cobwebs out of the tip top of the foyer ceiling (about 16ft). I can reach all of that ceiling except one corner and guess where I always get big, thick cobwebs? It is wonderful to have a clean house! I even have flowers on the dining room table (instead of one of T's model kits or one of my sewing projects). Be interesting to see how long it lasts.

Got lasagna on for supper if anyone wants to join us!

Gina, if you've never had mono before have the doc test you for that. I can't begin to describe how bad it made my otherwise healthy looking kids feel. And with Jenna, she would get to feeling better and wham! it would hit her again. It went through all three here since the end of March and Jenna is just know getting to where she doesn't all of a sudden feel really bad again.

    Good morning all,

We had severe thunderstorms with hail and very strong winds all night and we're still having them this morning. The sirens went off twice last night because the wind reached 55mph or higher. At least it has cooled down into the 80's. I can deal with that and still have the windows open.

Not doing much here today either with this weather. Brent and I will probably watch movies. I DO have two house plants that need repotting, other than that, it's going to be a lazy day.

OK, I watched the movie...The Kid, and...it was great!!! Now thats the kind of movies Disney used to make when I was growin up. Gonna watch it again when Agee gets in tonite. I don't recommend many movies any more cause really good, decent ones are terribly hard to come by, but if you ain't seen this one ...by all means get it!!! Just good clean fun, and funnniee!

    Good Afternoon Everyone!

Been out mowing the hayfield that the back yard has become. Whew, it's hot out there. Not quite as hot as yesterday, though. Another hour or so and the outside will look as nice as the inside and I'll throw a cake in the oven and some steaks on the grill and we'll have us a celebration!

    Ya'll have a nice day!

Well, we had fried okry, baked taters and mac & cheese too, so Agee could have et as well.

Got more than the grass mowed. T decided to change out the front brakes on his truck, so I helped him with that. Then we decided to change out the back ones. Went and picked up the part came back home and it started raining. Wind, thunder and the whole bit. Picked up the tools and went inside, it promptly quit raining! It's been threatening here ever since but it seems like the folks east of us are the ones getting actual precipitation.

Had to bring all our crazy dogs into the garage this evening. Hammer is always afraid of the fireworks and starts hiding out at the first snap of a firecracker. The girls just about made it through what the kids set off, but when some of the neighbors started shooting off bigger, louder things, they decided it was no longer safe. "Let us in! Let us in!" Crazy dogs!

Hope everyone's had as good a day as we have.

    See ya tomorrow!

    Good morning all,

It is going to be a pleasant day for driving today...80º and sunny.

I have some errands to run before heading for Springfield for my consulation with the cardiologist. I will know, when I get back home, when I am having the heart cath.

It would be nice if they would do it tomorrow morning. Pastor Bob is coming to Lincoln tomorrow and it would be comforting to have him waiting for me when I get back to my room.

I will post when I get back and let y'all know what is going on and when.

    HAGD!

    Morning all:

Well, it's raining here! Finally! We've gone about two weeks without rain, and we really need it. It's only supposed to get to the 80's today.

Sue, will be continuing in prayer for you.

Yesterday morning Vivian and I tried to get some of the fence posts out of the ground, but, they were so deep, and the ground was so hard and compacted that we couldn't do it. Now that it's raining, I may try to get out there and get the last four fence posts out of the yard. It's hard to mow around them since they're at the far end of the property.

Hope all had a great 4th!

    Bro. T

    Good Morning Everyone!

Tony, we had some posts like that from an old playhouse that was in the back yard. We took it down with a snatch from the pickup after a quick saw through about half way up the posts. The floor of the thing sat about 6 feet off the ground. Cleared up the debris, which wasn't hard because the playhouse itself was rotten and it just went splat. Then we went to pull out the posts. Nope, nada, wasn't happening. Couldn't even budge them.

This past summer (about 4 years after taking it down) we brought in a bobcat so we could smooth out the ground where the old swimming pool was and used it to finally knock those posts loose. Ground is so hard back there it's no wonder nothing grows but weeds.

LOL! I'd forgotten about taking out those posts so when I ran over one of the holes that was left, mowing the weeds yesterday, I wondered what had taken up residence in my back yard.

Anyone else battling poison ivy this year? I don't know where this stuff has come from, but every time I turn around I find more of it. Had some growing up the side of my house right along side the english creeper that was there. Found more in my front bed and even more back there where nothing else grows. Seems the more I poison it, the more I find.

Oh well, that's my rant for the day. Today will be spent paying bills, taking T's truck to the shop, and maybe doing the rest of the weed eating. I'm sure I will have a full complement of extra kids as well. This is the first day of freedom for the two oldest who have been grounded for the last two weeks. You know, I may have to ground them more often. I like the peace and quiet. ;) :D

    Ya'll have a good day!

Said I'd be late gettin BH, but she's snoozin anyway. Went to the ponds out at Tuckertown at 6:30, just got home & my shirt was soaked in places with sweat. They say it's 75 but it sure feels like 90 or so. Fish musta thought so too, only caught one yung dumb one. Supposed to be cooler tomorrow , about 80 if they ain't lyin'!
Couldn't sleep good last nite so I spent most of the nite lookin up info on hydrogen used as fuel. I've learned enough already to know that these cars that are being built to run on it will proably be a ripoff. Ought to be a way to just convert cars now, & be able to do it with little cost, espically compared to what will be charged for the whole car/truck package. I started to say I don't know why people weren't studying these ideas sooner, but that would about put the oil & electric companies out of business. Don't see that happening too soon. Of course if there were no oil fields to fight over, wonder what they'd do in the middle east??

    Okay, now I'm bored.

The bills are paid, the truck's at the shop, no extra kids and I'm minus one of my own and it's too hot to weed eat! I have way to much energy to just sit here at the computer, but I'm to lazy to do what needs doing so I can start stripping wallpaper. Sad, isn't it?

Sue, what time is your doctor's appointment?

    Doggie funny to tell about:

Ava and Mishka were just having a fit a few minutes ago. Sounded like they were getting rained on or something. Walked out back to see what was up and couldn't see anything wrong. They weren't tangled and they had plenty of water (in their own personal swimming pool). But they were still barking. So I used my good eye, since I wasn't wearing my glasses, and there on the ground, midway between the two of them, where neither one could reach it was a slice of the bread that I'd tossed this morning! Crazy dogs were barking at each other over a piece of bread neither one could get! I settled it by splitting it between them. Not a peep out of them since.

Okay, I'm going to start on that wallpaper!
