communism vs. democratic socialism

    Someone else want to try explaining the difference for BB members? It is beyond my ability.

    Perhaps (I'm hoping this isn't a troll post) the understanding is still in the names. Communisms don't elect their leaders. An oligarchy of a few appoints and affirms these positions.

    Democratic socialism, as I understand it, still requires elected office for a number of the chief positions in government.
