Just to add a bit, this is all for your PRIMARY system you would use for this. If you are like me you may also use multiple web browsers but I primarily use Safari when I browse the Baptist Board.

If you don't know how to find out, just ask me.
In most version of Windows, right clicking on the "My Computer" button on the desktop and selecting properties will tell you most things.

On a Mac, click on the Apple menu and select "About This Mac" that will give you most of the basics....click on "more info" and you can find out everything you ever wanted to know about it.

If you are using Linux...you probably already know more about your system that I will ever know so I will leave that up to you.

Only one Mozilla browser here? IE got to be a virus trap in spite of more than adequate protection. Not a single event since Mozilla.

    Emachine w2040
    AMD Athlon XP 2000+ (1.67GHz)
Firefox (I only use IE to update Windows XP)
DSL (pretty much the same speed you're getting)
    BFG GeForce MX 4000
    512MB

Don't worry, Pete. I'll never own another Pentium if I have the choice!

I'm running an old Gateway server (huge case, we call it Goliath) with a dual PIII motherboard, one 500 MHZ processor, 192 MB of ram (my wife stole some to go in her mothers PC) and an old 3Dfx voodoo 3 video card because the onboard video was the pits. It has 5 9 gig SCSI drives, 2 40 GB IDE and a 4 GB IDE. It really is a Frankenstein kinda creation. But us beggars can't be choosers [IMG] Using winxp and firefox.

I liked Firefox, because it gives me a sense of security away from the MS products that we all hear to many bad things about. After using Firefox for a month, I switched back to Internet Explorer. Too many of my favorite sites did not show all content when viewed with Firefox.

I suppose I will bounce back and forth, induced by an IE tantrum sometime in the near future.
