Do you have the confederate flag or something similar on display at your home or on anything you own?

Yes, I have a desktop size flag of the Stars and Bars on the top of my computer desk in my study.

Nope, nor will I. For me, it is still the flag of rebellion.

I absolutely love these flags -

But because of the way history has gone and the time period I live in, there is one flag that I love even more -

That is not a flag that I pledge allegiance to, Gershom. It is a man-made concoction and means nothing to me as a Christian or as a citizen of these United States.

I have the "Bonnie Blue" along with our state flag and the US flag on my computer.

The Bonnie Blue was origionally the National flag of the Republic of West Florida, about a quarter century before the "lone Star" flag of the Republic of Texas. That made it the first "Lone Star" Flag.

Even though it was borrowed by states early in the Confederacy, it was origionally meant to stand for independence from the Spanish, until the territory was annexed by the US.

My History lesson for the day.

I show the Believer's Banner everywhere possible, including skirts, vests, aprons, scrunchies, cups, pens, postcards, van, desk, on my door, on a pole; and the campmeeting we attend displays it proudly in the meeting room, as well as on top of the tepees.

My brother has a small one at the head of his bed in our travel trailer, and a big one(which used to be in my room)on his bedroom wall in our house.

The "star spangled banner" is also a flag of rebellion.

Neither is the confederate flag. It's part of the history of the proud South.

No, I don't!! I always get into trouble when I tell folks that flyin'(or displaying) the "Stars and Bars"---is flying the flag of a lost cause---now put behind us!

I get into trouble when I tell folks that the last flag that General Lee waved in General Grant's face was white!!

The display of a flag represents the power of the "standing" nation---and it gets all over me---when even when I see---the Stars and Stripes flown on top but underneath is a display of the Stars and Bars----the Confederacy no longer exists as a nation---therefore---I will not display it---because display of it---is actually displaying the flag of a "phantom" nation! A nation that no longer exists!
