I just called up the BB and got two advertisements for Thai single girls--at the top of the page and in the middle of the page. We have enough temptations in other places--even in church. Is there some way to filter such things? "A little leaven leavens the whole lump" What ever happened to modesty? Resisting the devil seems to have fallen by the wayside. It kind of goes along with our amoral society. God's people are supposed to be different, not conformed to the world.

Let's put up another wreath, everything will be O.K.

    Peace.

    Bro. James

Unfortunately, BB doesn't have control over the ads that are placed on the board - unless we go to the very costly choice of going ad-free. On other boards where we have been ad-free, we've had to pay to keep the board going. Oftentimes, it will bring up things that you have searched or keywords in the text of the thread on the screen. I tend to get a lot of horse stuff as my ads!

You get all kinds of ad around here. Lots of them that don't make much sense. I just ignore them but several folk around here have special filters in their browsers that turn them off. I'd recommend talking with them.

I too get lots of "singles" ads...don't know why just part of the randomizer I guess. You can have a perfectly holy surfing history and still get junk in your ads.

the Internet is Great for me a s a Christian Apologist, I can research a wide array of topics, but you have to be disciplined not to stray off the path. We just have to put on God's Spiritual armor and be prayed up. It is like going to the book store and keeping your eyes off of the porn mags. I have no problem with it, but I do know for many men it is a big problem. For those men the Internet might need to be turned off.

If you can drive down the freeway, you can deal with the ads here.
