Apostle Paul says in 1 Corinthians 1 and 2 we are not to be divisive. Why does Baptists have so many sub-denominations under the Baptist label? What purpose do they serve? Why do certain individual baptists care more about the label than being just a christian?

From my limited study on Baptist denominations, I've realized that the trend, in some cases, stems from personality clashes. Other times, it depends on if you are a fan of Calvin or of Arminius.

Personality problems (pride) has been the biggest problem I've seen. Technically, Baptists agree on principle.....it's the WORDING that causes the feuding! [IMG]
