"Everywhere he went, people asked if he plans to run. Each time came the pat answer: "If we can get no one else to take up the banner, both with their heart and with their lips, then we will do it."

Tancredo has said he is not delusional. He knows he'd have little chance of winning the White House.

Still, as he said during a stroll near the Mississippi River: "I'm putting my life in God's hands - and he may have some strange plans."

Tancredo is one of the few Republicans that I would consider voting for in 2008. I would love to see him get the nomination in 2008, it would signal that there still may be some hope in moving the party back to the right, but I am afraid the GOP leadership would do to him, like they did to Alan Keyes in 2000. Karl Rove already called Tancredo "a traitor to the party," and "a traitor to the president" and and warned him to "never darken the steps of the White House again."

Just the kind of non-Establishment candidate I like. [IMG]

I doubt he would win the nomination but it sure would be fun helping him to stir things up in the primaries. :D

First things first, Ken. We need to elect Jim Holt and then go for Tancredo.

Huckabee and Win Rockerfella inserted thier foots into their own mouths when they criticized Holt for the statment he made about Rove but he didn't say anything that the President didn't already say. Win shouldn't be so presumptious when he judges Holt, it is just a bad campaign strategy to do this. Just a gut feeling , I think Holt has won a lot of followers since he ran for the Senate
