    The operation called “manufactured consensus”

    It begins with some “authoritative” voice proclaiming an idea is a fact. Well, someone has to start the ball rolling.

    Very quickly, according to plan, others pick up the ball and echo the original idea. This includes both “respected” individuals and groups. Media join in.

    What follows is a scramble to gain public acceptance. All sorts of approaches are used in this stage of the process:

    the claim that a consensus has already been reached (which is a lie);

    attacks on dissidents and critics;

    warnings that refusal to accept the central idea will have dire consequences “for all of us”;

    cooked and slanted scientific studies;

    general reminders that the idea being promoted represents the greatest good for the greatest number;

    expressions of shock that there are “still people who refuse to accept the obvious”;

    https://jonrappoport.wordpress.com/2015/04/28/the-operation-called-engineered-consensus/

    Looks like we're at the stage where the critics get attacked and we're told this is all for the greatest good for the greatest number right?

    I find it personally insulting that you have such a low opinion of our service men and women. They aren't mindless stormtroopers but feel free to live in perpetual fear. It is extremely irritating to act like the military is this force that would all a sudden turn on its own country. Feel free to go tell SOCOM members your opinion and tell me how it turns out.

    Yep, I was right. We're at the stage now where the critics get attacked and we're told this is all for the greatest good for the greatest number.

    I find it amusing how easily you're turned into a tool for the global elite (who have no loyalty towards this country BTW) by a few "authority" figures in uniforms. :laugh:

    You are easily amused as are most clowns that are a tool of shock radio hosts that could use a good shave with Occam's Razor. I tell you what. I'll eat crow when this exercise turns into an invasion. If you are wrong you can find a way to get banned from this place. Since you are so sure of yourself that are you going to slam me for my service it should be real easy for you to put your money where your mouth is. I'll even throw in Baltimore too since you are on about that one too. If either of these turn into a launch point for a domestic takeover, I'll leave this place forever. Do we have a deal?

    Evidently the process of manufacturing consensus on Jade Helm 15 is more advanced than I first thought.

    You're already up to the point now where you're relegating dissent to the margins of “wild conspiracy theory”, and the conjoining of dissent with negative images and feelings.

    I guess the media "full court press" must be the reason for the urgency in your tone. That's odd, for some reason the term "putty in their hands" keep's popping into my head.

    You seem to be a well trained tool. Kudos for that. :smilewinkgrin:

    You left out the most important group. The citizens of Bastrop.

    What is their "rationale" for having concerns?

    This isn't personal with me because I understand what our roles are in this play we call realty.

    My role is to wake people up and your's is to marginalize and brand me (or any dissenter) with what ever label the authority figures and corporate talking heads are using at any given time on any given issue along the path to the "harmony and unity" you seek.

    I must say from your stellar performance so far it does look like they cast the right person for that role. :smilewinkgrin:

    Here's what going to happen. The unit is going to do the training exercise and then go home. Then what are you going to say? Nothing. You'll just move onto the next nugget Alex Jones dangles in front of you.

    What I say isn't as important as what you'll do.

    1. You'll get rewarded with a feeling of pleasure for "being right".

    2. You'll probably praise God that you aren't like those awful un - American "fringers" that "have no respect for authority" and worry about people's rights and stuff like that.

    3. Take pleasure in the perception that you belong to the majority. (the consensus syndrome?)

    4. You'll be ready with your talking points in order for dealing with any other dissenters when the next (even bigger?) training exercise takes place. It'll be that much easier after having already been trained for it this time around.

    5. You'll also be a bit more comfortable with seeing figures dressed in battle fatigues strolling around town and riding around in big green armored machines on your city's streets. It'll all seem a bit more "normal".

    6. On independence day you'll eat hot dogs and put a new American flag or yellow ribbon sticker on your bumper then go to the local doings to check out the latest military equipment the police dept got this year and think "whoa, that's so cool, I feel so much safer with that on our streets!".

    But not once will you think about how tyranny takes root and spreads out ever so slowly until one day you wake up to a knock on your door and they take you away for "questioning" the authorities.

    Um those are called documents, not "nuggets".

    I understand you've been trained to think of them as something else so they're easier to dismiss from your mind. Can't let them become an obstacle to delay your journey on the path to "harmony and unity" now can we?.

    I live in Texas. These training exercises have been going on annually for about 15 years. And EVERY year the Texas Guard has monitored the exercise. It's not some "conspiracy theory." It is the Guard's job, according to their charter, to do so. They act as liaison between the federal troops and the state, county, and local governments to make sure everything goes smoothly.

    Have you noticed that we are starting to be bombarded with images of troops in the streets? Have you noticed that the term “martial law” is coming up a lot in movies, news broadcasts and even in television commercials? In recent years, it seems like the solution to almost every major crisis involves bringing in troops. In fact, it has already gotten to the point where when something really bad happens a lot of Americans immediately cry out for troops to be brought in. And we are seeing the same patterns over and over again. Just remember what happened in Ferguson – protesters were whipped up to a frenzy, when the riots began the police were ordered to stand down and not intervene, and finally National Guard troops were brought in as the “solution” to a crisis that had escalated wildly out of control. This is the exact same pattern that we are witnessing in Baltimore, and as you will see below, National Guard troops all over the nation have been training for this exact type of scenario. A couple of decades ago, many Americans would have regarded the notion of “martial law in America” as absolutely unthinkable, but these days the threat of civil unrest is causing an increasing number of Americans to embrace the idea of troops patrolling our city streets.

    How to boil a frog - Ken Symington

    What in the world are the elite up to? In recent days, we have learned that the New York Fed is moving a lot of operations to Chicago because of concerns about what a “natural disaster” could do, the federal government is buying 62 million rounds of ammunition commonly used in AR-15 semi-automatic rifles for “training” purposes, and NORAD is moving back into Cheyenne Mountain because it is “EMP-hardened”. In addition, government authorities have scheduled a whole host of unusual “training exercises” all over the nation. So are the elite doing all of this in order to prepare for something really BIG, or should we just chalk up all of this strange activity to rampant government paranoia?

    First, let’s talk about what the New York Fed has been doing. What kind of natural disaster would be bad enough to completely shut down the operations of the New York Federal Reserve Bank? It would have to be something very unusual, and apparently the New York Fed is very concerned that such an event could happen. According to Reuters, the New York Fed has been transferring personnel to Chicago and building up its satellite office there just in case a “natural disaster” makes it impossible for normal operations to continue in New York…

    The so-called conspiracy is not that the Texas State Guard monitors the Army's exercises, it's that the Army is HAVING the exercise. According to the tinfoil têtes they're doing this to get the citizenry accustomed to uniformed military personnel walking about their towns and seeing heavy equipment vehicles driving around the countryside. This is all a precursor to rounding up the right-wing Bible thumping gun nutters and imprisoning them in Wal Mart stores.

    Right, I'm not talking about the Texas Guard's role in this although that is not a practice I've seen in other states were I've conducted training. It's the crazies that are whining to the Governor about this.

    This exercise is being closely watched in Midland , Tx. Just as it should be.. Wal-mart's part in this exercise is also being closely watched. Closing a highly profitable store to allow the forces involved in the exercise to use, seems questionable at the very least, and deserves to be watched. Makes one wonder, at least, what is really going on.

    I'm sure it's a nefarious plot to take over the great state of Texas Carpro. You are in great company with your fear of the Navy Seals Carpro. Kind of hard to believe that a veteren would subscribe to this nonsense.

    Here's a response from the political right.
