Nice site for bad debate tactics. I've seen them all here (Even used a few myself).

That is a very interesting article. I am very grateful that all of my postings have been civil and gracious. [IMG]

I agree. Great article but this word is soooooooooooo overused it makes me want to gakk. (The preceding may have been an effective use of nit-picking...but I don't care ;) )

I didn't make the title. (Your parenthetical statement made me laugh, but i had to read it twice.)

I don't want to belabor this point, but I'm very concerned about your not caring attitude. I'm just really surprised that a Christian would have this attitude.

PS. Counting the bad debate tactics, I find a "I'm not saying this" and an Ad Hominem. I wonder if it's possible to craft all of them into one reply?

PSS. I don't really think that about Rufus, just so we're clear on that point. :wavey:

    Here's my challenge.

The first person who replies to this post and uses every debate tactic in the article linked in the OP will receive a Private Message from me saying "Congratulations!"

whoever wrote the article, I don't think terrorism is the right word. I've encountered people here who either didn't know what they were talking about, or were plain wrong and it had been proven not just by me but others too, and they resort to calling me stupid in a round about way, just like the article said. I'm sure I've probably used some of these too. Either way I wouldn't call it terrorism.

    BRAIN SEIZURE:

A complex statement that paralyzes the brain.

"What you inferred is not what you implied."
"Your problem is that you are thinking in a linear versus configurational framework."

"I'm not sure if I fail to disagree with that or not."

I was just reading on the bb, and realized theres someone who is constantly doing this to people, and always looks right because they appear so intelligent.
Now that you actually know what they're doing it kind of makes you angry.
